“Look, for a craft beer bar in Albany, it just doesn't get better than this place. The curated draft list is amazing, specially the nod towards old money flavors. One lukr and two machines are also a great addition to the place. The place itself is small, but spaced out well. Want good beer, and sandwiches, come here, seriously.“
“No fun is great, I've probably gone now about 20 times. I can feel confident in myself and the creatures of the night of the capital region. The alleyway is illuminated, you get a view of the river, the bar has a sweet drink selection. Ive danced for at 30 hours of my life so far here“

“We decided to try Albany Ale and Oyster House on a chilly, rainy Wednesday afternoon since we had to be on New Scotland Avenue for an afternoon doctor appointment. I'm so glad we did, and also happy we arrived just as they were opening because we were able to sit at the bar and visit with one of the owners, Mia. We tried a flight of beer opting for all pilsners, one each from Italy France, Czechia and from our own New York region; all tasty, just the right amount of foam and nice and chilled. I ordered the Beyond brat which comes with comes with kale slaw and honey mustard, crispy potato chips in a brown paper bag for soaking up the oil and keeping them crispy, and a mixed green salad with the best sesame honey dressing. I love good salads and this one was perfect, with dressing on each lettuce leaf. Mia said they take their salads seriously, and you can tell. My partner had the Reuben and he proclaimed it the best he ever had. Overall the taste, presentation and preparation of the food was perfect. Combined with the cozy atmosphere and the friendliness of the owner and all who work there; Albany Ale and Oyster House is now one of my top favorites in the areaVegetarian options: In addition to the Beyond Brat they offer Beyond Burger and some interesting salads.“

“We came here for a drink unfashionably early Saturday night and just had the best time. It's cool and fun but not pretentious--great vibe and music. The owners and staff were so friendly and helpful--and the Dr Disco slaps. Can't wait to go back!“

“My bartender had the widest selection of gin I've ever heard of. So I decided to go back to my basic Gin Martini. He recommended the Brooklyn Gin since I'm all about my local distillers... He also recommended that I try blue cheese olives instead of plain olives and orange bitters instead of my go-to Angostura bitters. The Brooklyn Gin has a distinct smooth flavor, unlike anything I've ever had before. I was thinking this would be my nightcap, but am now feeling refreshed... ????Kudos to Brooklyn Gin and to my knowledgeable bartender, Braden! ??“
“Support local! The staff at Homebrew Emporium is kind, patient, and very knowledgeable. The store is well stocked with just about everything you need for brewing (and if it's not in stock it can be ordered). Fair prices and good quality merchandise. There's a wide variety of bottling materials to choose from, both glass and plastic. If you don't see it, ask for it!My favorite place to shop for homebrew supplies!“

“The minute we walked in we were greeted. The menu has something for everyone. The food is made with fresh ingredients. The atmosphere is cozy, upbeat but casual. It is a great spot for lunch, dinner, brews or sports. Eat in, take out available. quick and personable service. I highly recommend this diamond in the rough.“
“Anthony Bourdain said to have a beer in an empty pub, and that's what I did here.Doubles as a homebrew store. What I loved about this place is that the styles are either old school - think English IPA or oatmeal stout - or straight up historical. Definitely a change of pace. I enjoyed all the beers I tried.Owner was super knowledgeable and friendly.Prices were good, and I'm glad they were open on a Monday, which isn't the case for even the bigger brewpubs in town.Old school, DIY place that I'm glad to have visited.“
“I've already had an eventful week. So tonight I'm taking it easy. After some reflection I settled on Rare Form Brewing Company, for my Friday evening nightcap. Chris, my brewer, recommended the Double Moxie when I asked for the boldest hop, and while I'm no stranger to hyperbole, I got the feeling that we both know that Double Moxie is no hyperbolic hyperbole. It's 8% perfection! The rich honey citrus flavor, completely coats my tongue and leaves me with a decidedly sweet aftertaste, which surprisingly, I love. The difference is that I feel like Chris and I are cohorts... There's no hiding behind tolerance-ambiguity at Rare Form. The intention is clear: Drink 'mo craft beer then stumble into an Uber immediately after your last pint. #EXCEPTIONAL“

“On a recent adventure we ended up here and we were so so so surprised with both the quality of the food and the service! We ordered 2 types of wings, onion rings & drinks. The blue cheese dip was absolutely delish! The garlic buffalo wings were really great paired with the dip!!Our waitress/bartender was an absolute sweet heart. Give her a raise!!“

“Friendly local bar. Lots of different craft beverages for reasonable prices. Friendly place. I haven't tried the food. They have trivia night on Tuesdays which is hard! But good enthusiastic crowd. We are glad to have Beer Bones as a local bar and it's especially good in the summer on the back patio. And parking is a breeze.“
