I came here for a bachelorette party with a party of 11. We requested to sit outside for an evening dinner. We called in advance the day before to confirm the reservation and that there were outdoor heaters since we knew it was going to be in the low 60s at night. As soon as we arrived, we were notified that they were completely out of gas.. it was very cold. We couldn't even enjoy the meal because of how cold it was. The drinks were sweet and were watered down - did not taste alcoholic at all. The saving grace was the food. I had the shrimp risotto and it was delicious. Perfect portion size, not too much or too little. The food may be good but if your only option is to sit outside in the cold.. then it's not worth the price you have to pay.

Our server was courteous. My sangria was nauseating - too sweet and after a few sips reminded me of Robitussin. The lobster bisque was a lobster flavored cream broth with absolutely no substance - was more like cream of mushroom soup without the mushrooms. My chicken piccata and sides were good but not exceptional and my partner's swordfish had a very sweet sauce not to our liking. The restaurant is attractive, but we were disappointed with the food - the 4.6 review and the photos of the food led us to expect a high quality dining experience. Sorry to say that we are not planning on returning.

I wanted this restaurant to be great, but was disappointed. Decor was tacky and the food relied heavily on cream sauces and butter, instead of the flavors of the food, and the prices were high for the mediocre quality of the actual food. The service was great though. This is a place I'd visit again for a drink and maybe an appetizer, not dinner.

Patron since opening. Food is consistently perfect. Always professional on phone & site. Servers/staff are all beautiful, competent, clean, speak clearly and know the menu. Fantastic full bar with signature drinks. A small, modern local favorite with a nice outdoor dining patio as well. Make a reservation online. Very easy. ???? They also upgraded their dining chairs. Such an awesome upgrade to these padded, soft, high-winged back char with arm rests. -Something your grandma or aunt had. Very good decision to Angelo Mazzone's person on this job. See ya in August.

I met some friends here for dinner. We started off with drinks, I got a blackberry fizz mocktail. I wanted the crispy fried Brussels sprouts for an appetizer but unfortunately they couldn’t be prepared without the unagi sauce, and I’m vegetarian. The paper menu shows clearly which items are gluten free but not which are vegetarian.I was dining with a gluten free companion and while there were multiple entree options, there were no dessert or appetizers that were gluten free. I had The Vegetarian pizza: cauliflower crust, kalamata olives, tomatoes, banana peppers. Incredibly good, especially that crust! 12 inch pizza, good size to eat half and take half. Also had a slice of carrot cake with strawberry sauce. Perfect size, not a honking piece that makes you sick. Moist and lovely cream cheese frosting. I was disappointed that the desserts listed on the website weren’t available (coconut cream pie, creme brûlée, chocolate lasagna.)Total about $50/person with drink/entree/dessert. We did also have a medical emergency at my table and the staff reacted calmly and quickly to call an ambulance. There’s something I don’t put in many of my reviews! Just a note on covid precautions. Their website makes it sound like extensive precautions are taken but no staff were wearing masks and no masks were enforced for patrons in any way. The website was one thing that made me less uncomfortable about eating there so I was a bit disappointed by that. The food was quite good though, the dining experience was very nice, excellent friendly service. Plenty of parking.

The food is good but WAY overpriced! I’m honestly not sure why they charge what they do. I have a real problem with charging extra for atmosphere but that’s not even the case here. It’s on Route 9 in Latham. It’s decorated nicely but we were blown away with the price and what we got for that price. It was good but not that good. Yes, the brussel sprouts are delicious as well as the calamari, but we’re talking about simple things people. The burger was good but it’s a burger. I ordered the cauliflower truffle pizza and that was good but definitely a small portion—almost app size.

Appetizers are very good, however the entrees need some work. The scallops were done well, but the swordfish was overcooked and badly is in need of a sauce to work some acid into the dish. Next time we'll stick with the apps and call it a night.

We were impressed from the moment we walked in when the hostess said “Happy Birthday” to when she said “Happy Birthday” again when we left. Very attentive waiter, excellent service. We had the Brussel Sprouts appetizer- delicious. We all loved our entrees. They were out of the Lasagna Dessert, so we shared the yummy cheesecake. We will be back!!

When I requested to sit at regular table, instead of an high top table, but I was informed that they were not available. A few of the tables were never used at the time that I was at their restaurant. I ordered a gluten free crust pizza and at 6:30, Tala did not have any left, in their refrigerator.

Found a piece of wire in pasta sauce. Just delightful! ? Perhaps Mazzone is stretched too thin…?

Loved the food! Everything was great from our server, to the food and ambiance. The only reason I did not give this place 5 stars is because I made the reservations through open table. This restaurant gave you an option to choose inside or outside seating when booking. I chose outside. Upon arrival we realized there wasn't many people inside so when I asked if we could do inside instead they said that's what the reservation was for. I brushed it off but checked to see if indeed I made an error and selected inside as my dining option on OpenTable. I had not, it was for outside. So either the hostess was mistaken or there is an error in your reservation system that needs to be addressed. Next time I make a reservation for outside I guess I'll have to follow up with the restaurant to ensure it's in properly.

This restaurant was rated highly online, however when actually there, Tala did not meet my expectations. My boyfriend and I went here for our two year anniversary and love going out to eat. Our appetizer plates were dirty and our main courses were just not enjoyable. The swordfish was overcooked and lacked flavor, and the seasoning/sauce on the salmon felt greasy rather than flavorful. For the prices I was disappointed in the outcome and have been to restaurants that are less pricey with higher quality food! I would love to come back and have a better experience!

This is a nice place with good service but unfortunately we didn't have a good experience with the seating after having made a reservation days in advance to celebrate our anniversary. They sat us at the only high top outside in the corner by the door with seats that were wet and no umbrella and the sun was blazing on us. When we asked if we could move to a different table the only option was a high top inside by the bar. We noticed there were plenty of comfortable tables open inside and out but because they were reserved for guests 1.5 hours later we could not sit there. Those tables sat empty the entire time we were there. We won't be going back.

The food is fantastic. The prices may seem a bit high when you look at the menu for the first time but after you taste the food the price won't matter. Tremendous service, very attentive. Nice outdoor patio. Highly recommended.
