New York strip and also empanadas

Came here for dinner, and then place was packed! And reservations required, so that means that many people booked it ahead of time. The ambiance was nice and it seems like this is THE spot for date nights cause it looked like most people around us were couples as well. Service was a bit slow, but not to the point where it was ridiculous, just enough to have us looking around and wondering if the server with the food will be coming towards us. We ordered empanada, steak with fries and asparagus, and ate maybe 2 of the complimentary bread. We were super stuffed and didn't finish our steak. We thought everything we ordered tasted great! Filled with flavor. Texture is great. The empanada is packed with meat, no room for air! Overall we had a great night here.

Off top - I'm giving Ricardo's 5-stars because it is close to home, super chill vibes and has stood the test of time. Some times you want familiarity w/ good food & sips, and a sense of connectivity w/ the ppl in the shared space - this local place provides just that.We wrapped up our weekend here on a Sunday evening - it was a great choice. Sips & Bread See pics from our drinks- well made. That bread is yum. The bread does not come w/ butter b/c it doesn't need it. We asked for extra bread to go.Oh Snap SnapperI'm always reluctant to share on portion size as I don't want owners to get any "smart idea" to reduce. This is a healthy portion, I took majority to go and had 2 more servings. Flavor hits, texture of each seafood was right and the white wine garlic sauce can go in a bottle.Surf n' TurfHe enjoyed. Again, great portion - this was also packed to go.Parmesan AsparagusThis twist on asparagus is new to me, I like. There's also the option to have them grilled w/o cheese. The homely atmosphere here works, gotta appreciate the staff with their gracious confidence - totally friendly and helpful. The music is at the perfect volume, loud enough to groove yet not so loud that we're yellin' at each other.10/10 recommend. We'll def do it again.

I had the BEST brunch experience at Ricardo Steakhouse this past weekend. Vibes were on 10! Food was on point! Music was a 10! The bread is a must. I ordered the Ricardo's special which I recommend. Steak was slightly over but everything else made up for it lolMake sure you make reservations so you don't have to wait long. They get very busy on the weekends.

Ricardo's Steakhouse@ 2145 2nd ave. Harlem New York Had a Sunday dinner here. Ricardo's is a very chill, spot to step into. Either to get your night started, or if you wanna get like us and go for a nice conclusion to a lit weekend. Happy birthday to all the birthday people yesterday. I heard.... "go go shorty it's your birthday" at least 9 times. Who know February Pisces are that deep. The birthday cake Sundaes with the sparkling candles were flowing like a meteor showers under the Aurora lights. Shoutout to the birthday person who chose 2Chains instead of 50. The celebratory atmosphere was a beautiful addition to the scene. So if you are sexy, cool and celebrating a birthday, Ricardo's in good ole' Spanish Harlem is an excellent place to eat and live your best life. Ricardo's is a tightly packed spot with beautiful people, great smelling food and good music. Speaking of food. She ordered the Red Snapper that came with a cluster of Mussels, Shrimp drizzled with a white Wine Garlic sauce and Mashed Potatoes. We shared a side of Parmesan crusted Asparagus. On my side of the table I ordered the Surf and Turf (Fillet Mignon and Colossal Shrimp) the steak was cooked excellently.Sautéed Spinach, that was cooked to the right texture, and a healthy portion of Mash Potatoes. I have had the same dish at a legitimate 5 star spot in New Jersey and after eat Ricardo's steak last night, price doesn't mean greater quality all the time. The price for the new jersey spot Surf and Turf was almost two times the price of Ricardo's. ( disclaimer :I had a steak and lobster surf and turf). My point is the quality of the Steak at Ricardo's. Which is excellent. I know we pay for ambiance and to fill our stomachs. I was full half way through my plate. not an easy feat for a 6'2 250 man. I washed everything down with couple of Hennessy and ginger-ales. The birthday atmosphere compelled us to cap our whole weekend with a shot of tequila, salt and lime. The damage for the night was 200 dollars. You be the judge!

If you know anything about Ricardo steak house, you know that it is famous for its skill with steak and seafood. And in fact, the chef and the owner leads a kitchen that is technically astonishing. The atmosphere is really amazing.

I went to this restaurant for a friend's work anniversary celebration. Let me start by saying that we came a bit early because the neighborhood is a bit rough and I wasn't keen on being there late at night. I would not call this an upscale restaurant at all. It's very relaxed, though they from upon wearing hoodies. We were seated quickly, which was nice. We all ordered steaks and they came rather quickly. It wasn't the best T-bone steak that I've had, and my friends share the same sentiment, as they didn't finish theirs either. The fries that came with it were extremely dry and brittle. Also, I asked for a well done steak and mine was pink in the middle and the waiter was tight with giving steak sauce, as if his job depending on it. Also, when the check comes they automatically add gratuity and then swap it out for the check portion that you sign so you almost forget gratuity is already on there just to get you to add more gratuity. That turned me off.Not sure I'd come here again since the ambiance was off.

Ricardo's was all of that and some more. I'm so glad that we made our reservations in advance because it was croweddded. I mean as soon as we got there, there were folk standing and waiting to be seated and from the looks and sound of it, they had like an hour wait. Speaking of sound-the place is ridiculously loud! Like seriously and with the music and DJ and all it was a lot! But in a good way. Multiple waiters tended to us and the food came out really quickly too. I still don't understand why some restaurants cost extra for refills on fountain drinks but whatevs! There are clean bathrooms at the back of the place and they are nicely separated from the rest of this lovely eatery. We really enjoyed our food (the red snapper and mussels along with the lamb chops). We also loved the vibe, though loud. Cool and diverse crowd as well. We will attend again.

Exceptional! Was here for a friend's birthday party, so we had a prefix menu. Started with the Ricardo salad and choose sautéed shrimp for appetizers. They gave you a huge portion of salad. Very good and tasty! The sautéed shrimp was good as well. Loved the seasoning and it came with more salad. So after the salad & appetizer I was full. For entree, I got the New York Strip 14oz steak which comes with garlic butter mashed potatoes & garlic spinach. Absolutely amazing. The steak was huge and the sides look like meals by themselves. I'm actually eating my meal now 24 hours later. And honestly you can eat from this plate twice. Everything was seasoned well! The staff was exceptional and patient with our party! Restaurant is a bit small, but music is on point...nah of that mumble rap. They play the classics. It's a party atmosphere with classy food!

Came here lastnight to celebrate my sister's birthday . Pros It's a nice spot decor and music good for celebrations. Good food portions. Pre fixe menu we were a group of 9. You can pre choose the pre fixe before hand there are 4 choices with different price points. You get a garlic bread ,salad, appetizer and an entree gratuity is included drinks are separate. Calamari really good needed salt and pepper New York strip steak good needed more seasoning. Garlic spinach and mash potatoes were very good. Quick and friendly enough waiting staff once seated. They brought out a desert for the birthday girl with a sparkler in it. Cons Once the party arrived for the reservation we had to wait an additional 45 Minutes to be seated. They repeated the same 6 songs over and over. The constant sparklers coming out for birthdays with the open kitchen concept that we were sitting right next too. Had all of our eyes tearing up in discomfort. Food needed a bit more seasoning. Overall nice place, I'd give it another try.
