“I had a great time here. It’s more of a hangout place then a grab and go place but the vibe is great. There’s board games and a fair bit of seating. A bookstore is right next door.As far as food it’s mostly coffee. They can heat some of their packaged baked goods or make avocado toast. But I recommend the raspberry infused coffee that I drank. This place is dog friendly and has wi-fi.”

I was in town visiting a friend stayed the night and of course we needed to go out and have some breakfast and he recommended we try this spot. Let me start off by stating this is an old-school retro breakfast spot if you’re not into that type of thing and you’re looking for flashy modern furniture this is not the place to go if you want good home cooking food that you would make it home this is the spot you go to where the locals go Service was amazing, the food was great. We both ordered omelettes. It has a cool vibe inside and you can watch the action of your food being cooked while sitting down.”

“What a wonderful find! While visiting Rome for a sporting event, I had overheard someone mention the name of this restaurant. When I looked it up online and saw the menu offerings, we decided to give it a try. First, it is the most adorable place! A converted house on the edge of a residential neighborhood with a lovely ambiance inside. Front of the house is a well-stocked bar with high-top tables for those who like a bar eating atmosphere. The back is tables for two and four with real linens (rare these days), quaint table-top lighting (remember those nightclub table lights from the ‘50s and ‘60s?), and small vases with simple dried floral arraignments. The wine and liquor menu is extensive (we don’t drink, but I looked), and the food menu is small but varied, with something for everyone. Part of their menu changes monthly, part is static. We tried things from both.The static offering of Lobster Bisque with a small crab cake floating in the center was amazing! Light, creamy, and flavorful with plenty of lobster throughout. The crab cake was a delicious little addition. Their other regular offering we tried of Fried Calamari with marinara sauce was fairly standard, with nice rings that were not overcooked, as so many places do. We also ordered a monthly special appetizer of Fried Artichoke wrapped in Prosciutto on a bed of sautéed asparagus with a balsamic glaze. Quite tasty and beautifully presented. Our entree specials were Chicken Marsala, served over bucatini pasta (rather than the offered mashed potatoes), and a dish called Miss Jenny, which was the house’s take on Eggplant Parmigiana - panko breaded slices of fried eggplant layered with fresh sautéed spinach and mozzarella, served atop a bed of bucatini with marinara sauce. Both entrees were delicious!Our bill was probably higher than most because we were really hungry and wanted to try lots of dishes.The service was friendly and attentive, and we got to meet the owner as we left - so happy to tell him about our wonderful experience!If you’re passing through Rome, or if you’re local (lucky), visit this lovely restaurant! You won’t regret it!”

They offer true gourmet food that satisfies the most discerning palates. The wine is great but the food is by far way better than anything else you’ll find nearby. “I think this is our only Bakery left. Rome is know for our amazing Italian food. Ferlo's does not disappoint . Their tomato pie. Bake goods and bread is just like I remember as a kid. Like walking into Rome's history . My favorite is the football rolls...Perfect for meatball subs !!!”

“My family dropped in early today and were immediately delighted with the available parking, the ambiance, and the cleanliness. The place has a healthy, orderly, and embracing vibe - very “warm” and inviting.They offer a nice variety of croissants and muffins, along with cooked items. We enjoyed blueberry muffins which were moist and flavorful.Our hot chocolates were hot and tasty.When we arrived, just after 7AM, there were 2 people behind the counter and the crowd was very light. As we ate, the place started filling up. Initially, I was thinking that the staff was going to get buried. But, no! These wise people were way ahead of me - two more staff arrived at the perfect time. So, as the door opened and closed increasingly often, the line barely grew as the staff were taking care of business!When we left, the place was full. Every chair was taken and there was no line. They sure know what they’re doing.We are delighted with this experience and I certainly look forward to any chance to return. Most likely, I’ll MAKE that chance.Highly recommended.”

“Everything I've tried has been fantastic. Their pizza dough/crust is the best I've eaten in the area. It's chewy, it's crispy, it actuallyhas flavor. I use to work in a kitchen as the "pizza guy", and I usually made the dough. That being said, I like Blazin' Bites dough over my own. Just try it. I think you'll agree with me. ?”

“A few weeks ago I was out in the Utica area and had to stop at this butcher and deli spot. I spent $100 in meat. I guess I shouldn't go in there when you're hungry. But everything I've eaten so far has been spectacular. I don't know who you get your meat from but It is one of the tastiest around. Especially the pork prime rib with bone. I put a rub on it with my special barbecue sauce. I cooked it at 450 for a half an hour and then turn it down to 325 and cooked for an additional hour and 15 minutes. This was some of the best pork I've had in years. I'm out in Syracuse and it is worth the drive for quality meat.”

“Stopped in today for lunch with some family but was not greeted very friendly. Staff looked and acted very stressed and didn't hide her annoyance with having to cover for others who called in. Although I understand and sympathize with her, customer service can't be put aside because you are having a bad day. I went the extra mile to be extra courteous and patient and did not get the same in return.As usual the food was excellent and the atmosphere was great. I still left a 25% tip hoping to cheer up the waitress. Hope she got some help to relieve her stress.”

They routinely get orders incorrect, leave out sauces, give you stuff you asked to omit, etc. I think it’s a language barrier but it’s frustrating. That's rare!!We had so many laughs & the food was outrageously imaginative & completely delicious!! Reasonable prices!! Wine!! Your credit score just goes up with walking in here!! The service was incredible despite being packed!! And we had many laughs with the employees!! We only knew our small table of friends but soon everyone was having such a lively time, I met new friends & had such a lively, delicious & joyous evening at Francas & cannot wait to go back!!”

Especially when the complimentary hot peppers are out! You can get a beer at any bar, but nothing comes close to chasing the heat from those peppers away with a cold beer.”
