Been in Lindenhurst 20 plus years went for breakfast this past weekend sooooo disappointed! Food was a slop! Not going back. Carpet is disgusting!!?

Went for breakfast and will not return. There was a party going on in conference room. We waited 20 minutes for our food. Asked our waiter why it was taking so long and he coldly said,"There's a party and there's nothing I can do about it." Not very hospitable. Meanwhile waitress was super nice. Our waiter never asked if we needed more coffee and when I finally got him to come over he poured coffee in my fiance's tea cup over the tea bag. Eggs Benedict was great, but corned beef hash burnt.

They used to have good food as well as good service. I guess with costs rising and them passing it on to the consumer and not caring what they serve has become the new them. Tonight the service wasn't not that great for pick up. The food they sent out was not edible. Biting into a chicken salad sandwich should not nearly break your teeth, the amount of grizzle was truly disgusting to say the least. Sorry to say they have lost a LONG TIME LOYAL customer. There are plenty of diners in Lindenhurst to choose from and I am sure will be happy to welcome a new loyal customer. I actually give ZERO stars for this disgrace!!

no no no. will someone tell me about a good diner please!!!terrible experience! why was our waiter so pushy? why did he give us the check before we were done? because his shift was over. dear management, manage better. my chicken parm sauce had so much onion in it, you could have put it on a hot dog. here's a tip, there are little to no onions in tomato sauce!! waiter served gyro meat over salad with no tzatziki. the whole this is just wrong. prob is when diners were goto places for an inexpensive family meal, if it sucked, you said ahhh, its only a diner. now, its $45 a person if it sucks, you stand out as sucking and i can't stand by and do nothing about it. plus 3.5% to use credit card. this is a never againg. stay away frim south bay diner. no good, nada, no e bueno. oh and management, don't reach me. reactive won't work for me. you are charging people for food, you should be getting it right. bad management.

My wife and I went there on a Sunday evening and left after no one came to our table after 15 minutes. Two other tables came in and got their orders taken and received drinks. We kept looking around and made eye contact with the manager but no service. We left.
South Bay is just a top notch establishment. From the great food to the excellent service. Oh and don't forget the delicious desserts.

First time coming here. Their breakfast was truly great. The Hershey pancakes hit the spot and it was perfectly done. Huevos rancheros burrito and the breakfast dish (eggs/cornbeef hash/home fries) were delicious. We also purchase their peanut butter cheesecake and rainbow cake to take home. I’m not a fan of cheesecake and when I tried it, it blew my mind. (Tasted great!) Rainbow cake was delicious as well! Definitely going back to try out their lunch dishes.
