If I could give a zero rating I would. I had received the absolute worst service ever! I called to make a reservation for 6 pm. I was told that the restaurant is never busy on a Saturday night at 6 pm & we can just walk in. However, from the moment we got there the waiter rushed us. He tried grabbing our plates twice while we were still eating. He gave us our bill without asking if we wanted anything else, not even asking us to order dessert. When we asked for dessert, he became visibly upset & stormed away!

Attended rooftop event which was nicely done. Food and drinks were buffet and plentiful. Snuck down to bar to order myself an Irish coffee - expensive but tasty.

Il Bacco was a very nice place for our first meal an this trip to LI. It was recommended to us a few years back and this was our first time making it there. We are very happy we did. After being seated we were happy to have bread served with oil, cheese and olives. I had the mushroom ravioli special and it was very tasty! The service was excellent. The servers and bus people were very attentive as well as informative. My wife had one of the fish specials. she said it was "medium". Not the best but we liked it enough to get our son a gift card. I would definitely recommend trying it.

Il Bacco used to be great, the food was terrific, the service as on point. Not anymore. We were there recently for a party on the rooftop. The host was told it would air conditioned since it was the middle of July, but it most certainly was not. She was told that the fans were broken the night the before by a wild party. Fans and AC - not exactly the same thing, but bad when neither work. The only saving grace was that the rooftop is covered. The family had beautiful chocolates and candy treats for guests to take home but the heat caused everything to melt. On to the food - the passed around appetizers were ok, just average - little crab cakes, sausage and peppers, fried artichoke (which was very good) but the buffet food left much much much to be desired. A tablemate asked for salad was given the greens underneath the cheese and mozzarella, which typically is a garnish. There was no salad dressing even to put on it. The grilled vegetables were ok. They bread was never refilled, the chicken was heavily flour coated and very bland. But worst of all was the "meat" other than tough and tasteless, I can't even identify what the dish was supposed to be. The potatoes and string beans were ok. The host brought in a cake but the restaurant provided cookies, even those were terrible. How do you mess up a butter cookie! I was looking forward to the food and was super disappointed, I will not be going back and will certainly not be having any parties there. Hopefully they'll be able to get back to their former glory some day.

What New Yorkers will call "Italian food" boggles my mind. If you like soggy lasagna, overcooked spaghetti with tiny slices of calamari that seemed to be frozen at one time, day old bread and sweet wine, resembling Manischewitz, this place is for you. The desserts were not terrible. The olive oil was far better than I would have expected. The formaggio parmigiano was nice. However, the food nothing more than typical NY Italian nonsense. But OMG that wine!!!! And what an overpriced awful wine menu. Just awful! You can make a better meal at home and not deal with the inflated prices to pay rent. People! When you pay 30 bucks for a dish of pasta - you're paying real estate! You are not paying for pasta and for those prices it should be MUCH better! Basta!

Won’t consider getting anything there again. They couldn’t care less about being a breeding source for Covid infecting their customers. What are the chances that no one else from Il Bacco serving, making or delivering is not now or won’t with their total disregard for this pandemic bring Covid to you. They could care less.

We had a 7:00 reservation and showed upon time. We still had to wait 20 minutes for a table. We sat and ordered. At 8:40 we still had not been served our appetizers. It looked as though no one had been served. 20 tables all sitting there waiting for food! The waiter kept telling us "one more minute" and at 8:40 we cut our losses and left. It was like something out of the Twilight Zone: "An unsuspecting couple goes to an upscale restaurant. The tables are full. The waiters are milling around. But little did they know, they would never eat because their food would remain in...the Twilight Zone".

I was there for lunch and the parking in the area is very limited; there is some parking behind the restuarant but that is limited as well. The food was average as was the service, the only thing not average were the prices. I was also very surprised that our waiter had no idea what affogato was and when we told him how it was made he looked at us in astonishment.
