The food is good. The customer service is not. I had family in town and ordered a basket of 5 paninis delivered to my house. (Along with other food) 2 panini were supposed to have grilled chicken on them and they for some reason forgot to put it on the sandwiches. As we started eating the panini I realized and called the restaurant. The only response was they could deliver me the chicken that was missing from the sandwich? Not that they would remake the 2 incorrect the right way and bring it hot just deliver me grilled chicken on the side and wait for a cold panini? Very strange response. We order frequently and it was extremely disappointing.

This place was clean and quiet. Perfect for my husband's little brother's birthday lunch. I ordered Gnocchi and Ala Vodka and it was really really good! The food was nice and hot, very flavorful as well! I had to take a doggy bag home with me for later. The service was spot on, our server was very attentive to our table of 7. My husband ordered a panini and he had no complaints, as he licked the plate clean He's been coming here for years but as my first time, I can honestly say I would recommend this place! All the staff were nothing but smiles as well, so the atmosphere is very family friendly like. The seats are comfortable, this isn't your average Italian restaurant, everything was just very very nice in my opinion. I can't wait to return, hungry for more!

La Bottega is probably one of the most underrated restaurants in long beach. The service is great. Elmer is a great waiter, he's super friendly, nice, and attentive. The paninis are great to go food and so are the entrees have massive portions in the restaurant, great for sharing!
