Just went for the first time in December, but I've been there 3 times since. Easily my new favorite diner the food is really good and the service is great as well. According to my 6 year old son, it's a 5 star restaurant because he loves the bacon! I do agree, though it's a very nice little diner. Excellent burgers and French toast, fresh black and white cookies for dessert and great milkshakes!

Great fresh breakfast. Servers and staff were so pleasant! However angry looking middle eastern looking guy who was talking down to staff (manager?) made it uncomfortable.

Not sure the ratings aren't great. Anytime we go the meals are always good and plentiful. Went yesterday 3/3/24 and had a really good burger !!! Place is small, crowded, got seated in 10 minutes, service was fast and staff was very pleasant!

I ordered from them and they delivered my breakfast in the early morning so nice and hot I was ordering from Uber Eats to use the promotion before and they delivered my food cold. I was so pleasantly surprised when I saw the difference between ordering from the laurel where they know me compared to an unknown place

Yesterday I went too laurel diner to celebrate my surprise birthday party. They made me and my friends feel so welcome and the food came so quickly. I ordered fries and all American burger and it was very good. They sang happy birthday to me and they gave a free cookie. Definitely would recommend this place.

Nice cafe for breakfast. Very fast service, polite and pleasant. They make Espresso and know what it is! I liked the scrambled eggs, but the bacon was a little overcooked. The toast is great. Well-kept toilet. Free parking is available nearby. Thank you and I recommend it for visitors.

Whatever dish we order it is always delicious. The only issue I have the prices continue to go up.

Formerly part of a theater, this Art deco dinner besides the unique atmosphere provides an excellent food and services. I highly recommend it so you can be the judge.

Really enjoyed this meal. It was a great “diner” experience. Food was good and atmosphere was authentic retro. And you felt like a local and 1000 miles from the big apple. Love this part of New York.

I used to be a frequent visitor to the Laurel during high school. When I left for college and eventually graduate school, I often craved their pancakes and hamburgers. This was a staple of my dining diet. I was back in the area connecting with a local friend this weekend and decided to try my favorite place. Unfortunately, the experience that followed was a bit execrable. A very friendly hostess greeted us. We sat at the diner bar. While the restaurant is not the biggest, and I was used to this, I felt the section we were in was crammed. A waiter dropped a glass no more than a few inches from my friend. We were unable to get anybody's attention to request to move, so we decided to stay. Upon ordering, I got an English muffin and my friend an omelette. Food came out pretty fast; however, my friend had found his omelette to be cold and soggy. My English muffin was okay and nothing too special, but it certainly appeased my hunger. What really turned me off was the service while paying. I was not greeted by the gentleman at the front at all and he simply said, in a very snappy tone, "cash or credit." I replied with credit and inserted it. While it was in the terminal, I asked if I could put tip in the plastic jar next to the machine to which he replied "No! On table or card." He was extremely hostile, and all I asked was about leaving tip money. My friend found him extremely disrespectful too. He leaned over, hit something on the machine and said, "Leave the money where you were sitting" as if he was ordering me to do so. I love this spot but the attitude was very rude. Overall a nice diner with a cool 50s diner atmosphere.
