Lost At Sea is a cozy restaurant with a charming vibe, making it a good destination for a date. Seated at the bar, we embarked on a culinary journey that exceeded our expectations. The food was exceptional, warranting a solid five-star rating. The chef's bold approach to cooking resulted in dishes bursting with flavors that left a lasting impression on our palates. The outstanding whitefish dip was noteworthy, a true gem that elevated our dining experience to new heights. However, we hit a snag with the clarified Old Fashioned. Despite its intriguing concept, this cocktail fell short of expectations. Devoid of its quintessential bourbon essence and overwhelmed by excessive sweetness, it failed to capture the timeless allure of an Old Fashioned. The bartender attributed the sweetness to an "illusion in my brain," which perplexed me. It was a disappointing choice that left me nursing a hangover the next day.Despite this minor setback, the staff remained attentive and courteous throughout our visit, contributing to the overall warmth of the experience. GO!

It's rare to find a restaurant where the staff is amazingly competent and extremely friendly. We immediately felt at home. The drinks were well curated as was the wine. The food was eclectic, creative and delicious. It really reminded us of a Spanish tapas bar with a great chef and mixologist that was represented by the friendliest front staff. Just a great experience.

Got lost. No sign for the restaurant. It looked like a Korean restaurant. QR code to get your menu is annoying for people that need reading glasses. Had to wait for paper menus. Slow service. Chick peas at the table? The waiter had his back to us at the bar while we were waiting for menus. Poor service. The food was very good everything else was annoying. Rude menu, they say get lost for coffee and desert. Im not sure that's the way to run a restaurant.

Had a wonderful date night here. The restaurant itself is very cozy, and the decor is nicely placed. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming and we were seated right away.We started with the raw oysters, which were very fresh. The cocktail sauce had some great taste to it. Then we moved on to the whitefish dip. Wonderful creaminess and robust flavor to it. The bread that came with it was fresh and was toasted to perfection. There was so much dip that we could have used a little more bread, but that wasn't a problem at all. For the main, we got the steak frites. The chef prepared the steak exactly as we asked, medium rare. The hanger steak was tender and flavorful, and the sauce was strong. The fries wereParking: Parking is rough.

Amazing. The old fashion was so different then I'm use to but was a pleasant surprise. Food was delicious in every way. Our waitress was cool and super helpful with menu. I'd say the hostess was a little stiff but place still deserves a 5 based on the quality of food and service. Ty for a great experience

By far one of THE BEST places I've ever been to. The calamari was exceptional, the mussels were flawless, and the drinks were even better! I highly, HIGHLY recommend this restaurant if you're in the mood for great seafood, even better drinks, and wonderful service!

My fiancée and I came here with friends this weekend. My fiancée and I first got the deep purple cocktail which was super sour then after trying our friend's Demeter switched to that. The Demeter was so good and smooth. For appetizers, we got the whitefish dip, calamari, & octopus. The one thing we really enjoyed and was really tasty was the whitefish dip. I wasn't a fan of the calamari at all. There was a weird seasoning in it that threw all of us off. I also don't like octopus but my fiancée and friend do but they weren't a fan of this dish. The octopus was tougher and the only flavor was the slight olive flavor coming through. For our entree, we got the steak and fries. The steak was a little chewy and our breath smelt like garlic until the next morning, but it was still good. The food took awhile to come out but everyone was really nice. We'd come again for drinks, the whitefish dip, & probably try the other food.

This restaurant along with its sister restaurant - Lost & Found are EASILY the 2 best restaurants in all of Long Beach. The food here is absolutely impeccable with similar quality food as Lost & Found. Everything here is full of flavor. The octopus appetizer was out of this world. We also tried the bone marrow dish which was very good. We also ordered the fish tacos that were packed with flavor. The steak and fries were excellent too. Will certainly be coming back here very often!

Came here for dinner on a Saturday evening. Was able to get the reservation a little less than a week in advance. Food was very good! This is totally a seafood restaurant.... I know duh it's called Lost At Sea... of course it's a seafood restaurant. Fish is not really my thing. That said I had a great meal and enjoyed the experience. We tried a bunch of items 1 Slightly Smaller Plate each and then one Slightly Bigger Plates each. Cocktail menu is creative and plentiful, something for everyone. Staff was attentive but busy it was Saturday night. Tried 2 items, not seafood, I had never tried before. The Sunchokes, very much like a potato or yucca starchy tuber chunk served with a yogurt sauce and then Duck Wings. Duck wings were good, slightly less meaty than I had expected but had great flavor. Also tried the Nashville Monkfish, not enough hot sauce flavor for me but the fish was cooked well and wasgood. Will definitely be back minimally for a small plate and a cocktail!
