I was so excited for toast to open! Living in Long Beach for the past 20 years I have discovered that there are quite a few options that are good/great and my latest find is "The Pantry" on Merrick Road in Rockville Centre, delicious but $$$. I was very impressed my first time at toast, food was great, service was excellent and I loved the home fries! Even if the coffee refills took awhile I was still okay with returning to check out the vast and wonderful sounding menu. Second time, still happy, food not as hot as I would have liked or expected but definitely worth a third visit. Third time I took my sis who lives in the diner capital of the USA, New Jersey. She is also a baker by some fantastically God-given natural talent, and makes her own croissants, morning buns, sourdough, bagels, rye bread and so much more. Therefore I knew I could trust her judgement of the so called many specialty "toasts"...hahaha. We both ordered the sourdough and one slice of rye. None of the sides of toast came buttered that day for some reason and the butter we received after having to ask was hard and by the time we got it to the table the toast was, alas, cold. This is highly disappointing considering the name of the establishment. But I really enjoyed my Mexican style skillet with the eggs, home fries, avocado, crispy tortilla shells and sausage. And my sis also enjoyed her eggs, bacon and home fries. Last time was the last time, food cold, not even warm, service lacking, took forever to get coffee, water, spoons, milk for coffee and even some butter for the pancakes which were not even worth buttering as they were COLD. We did sit upstairs so maybe that was the reason, but still that's no excuse for crappy service or cold food. I wanted to explore the menu even more but I do not think I'll be going back until they figure out a way to deliver HOT DELICIOUS FOOD as most patrons expect. My high hopes were dashed on that last visit. Someone please let me know when it gets better!!

I really enjoyed our time here . We had no reservations and had no clue how busy it would be so when she said the wait was going to be an hour and a half I was completely upset (mainly because I was so hungry) but the bar was 1st come 1st serve and a couple was leaving , that was my queue . We sat , ordered and waited . The bartenders were nice , and heavy handed (which helped) the food was tasty. My french toast selection was alittle too sweet but who told me to order apple strudel french toast anyway . Our drinks were good tho . I dont even drink coffee but that flight was interesting (rough but good) would I come back ? Eh maybe .

They threw out the coffee and clean the coffee pot before I finished my meal so they could clean up be the restaurant before they close. The waiter did not offer me my first refill of coffee before before they the coffee pot. I told them to take the one cup of coffee off the bill. I refused to pay for one cup of coffee without refill. I do love their food. Great place to eat and good food..

A brunch spot the Long Beach area needed for sure! There is nothing really like this in Long Beach yet - a place to go and get a nicer brunch with family or the girls on a weekend. Definitely a great sit down breakfast option. We had to wait for about 25 minutes on a Saturday around 10am but once we sat down service was fast and efficient. They also have the app that tells you your spot in line so we could go run some errands while we waited! I got the Delancey street omelet with no tomatoes. It was a very good omelet (a little overcooked in the eggs but pretty standard with diner food) and I got sweet potato fries and rye toast on the side which were the stars of the show! I don't normally like sweet sauce with my fries but their sauce was amazing too. My boyfriend got the domingo tacos which were a bit mushy but overall good flavor. The fresh squeezed OJ was fantastic - highly recommend and the espresso was good as well!! If you want a sweet breakfast all of their French toasts coming out looked to die for. All in all I would come back for sure. It was very busy on the weekend! Good vibe and seemed like it is the new brunch destination for a lot of the island.

Atmosphere, food and service were all outstanding!! Loved the Apple strudel French toast and the breakfast quesadilla. It was a snowy day and the fireplace made it so warm! Highly recommend

I choose this place for a first time. Big place and looks very nice and cozy. Got seat down right away and front desk ladies very friendly. Lady who had our table also very nice and helpful with menu if we have a questions. Easy to park and not far away from this spot. Food we got was delicious!!!

What a great breakfast place. We were able to get reservations since we were 8. I ordered the Nonna skillet. It was great. It consisted of softly scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, fresh basil, roasted grape tomatoes, and zucchini & ricotta cheese. The service was great. The ambience is great. I would definitely recommend this place for a good weekend brunch, breakfast and lunch place.

This is a wonderful addition to the Long Beach culinary festival of choices. It has a beautiful Gatsby style decor, our waiter. George was super friendly and generous, and the food was absolutely delicious. This is the best gourmet breakfast menu I have ever seen. We will be back.

So happy they opened a nassau county location!! We loved going to the one in bayshore even though it was a bit of a drive. So when i heard i opened one in long beach, i was like YESSSS! They have the most amazing chicken n waffles. They actually have two varieties and each is as good as the other. I love trying out their monthly specials. The churros french toast February special, needs to be a permanent menu item. From presentation to taste, it was incredible! We always have a fantastic experience here, the service is always great. The environment is great. I have never had a bad experience at any toast location.
