My fiancé and I have been walking past this location for over a year and finally found the time to go in. Once we walked in and noticed that there seemed to be a lot of “regulars” that knew the staff, we knew were in a good place! The food and service is fantastic. Everything that we had was full of flavor and melted in your mouth. We started with the stuffed green plantains with shredded beef and then had the Lechon Asado con mojo criollo and Rib eye steak with a side of sweet plantains. The staff is very friendly and attentive. They were very appreciative of our compliments. The only thing we regret is not going in there sooner!side note: the skirt steak must be very good because 5/6 people next to us ordered it for their dinner!

I recently dined at Madera in New York and was blown away by the amazing food and service. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, perfect for a night out.The food was outstanding. The Cuban stile grilled shrimps was fresh and delicious, and the steak was cooked to perfection. Every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented.The service was exceptional. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal.Overall, Madera is a fantastic restaurant with delicious food and excellent service. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience in New York City.

I place an order for the lechon asado through doordash and it was not what I expected for the amount of money I paid. This establishment is not worth it. I paid over 50 dollars for a very small portion and it tasted like tunafish instead of pork. I gave this place a 1 star rating only because there were no other options. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone even if my life depended on it.

I tried the ground beef empanada, what a delightful experience! The mixed flavor of the empanada veggies, the ground beef and most importantly the spicy sauce was so good, I honestly wanted a 2nd one but I was afraid I’d not have enough hunger for the entree.I came here for the ropa vieja with white rice and beans, the shredded beef was served in a cup made out of fried yucca and it was properly marinated although I felt a ketchup like flavor as I was finishing it, the sweet bananas were mashed and under the cup, first time I’m having it this way, overall it was great too.

We visit LIC a few times a year and ALWAYS have at least 1-2 meals in our 3-4 day stay. Service, food and atmosphere are phenomenal! Gotta try the White Sangria!
Staff was super friendly and attentive! We sat outside cause the weather was beautiful and we had the space to ourselves And good is 10/10 will be going back!

We celebrated our nephews 17th birthday here and if I can give more than 5 stars I would. The food was delicious (tostones relleno, yuca fríes, empanada, churrasco steak, ropa vieja )the drinks were on point , my husband and I had mojitos( coconut & Passionfruit), Best mojitos we’ve had yet.The service was exceptional, our hostess was extremely accommodating from beginning to end, the whole team was very attentive. The ambiance was very pleasant, there was live music which we enjoyed very much. We will return to this restaurant for future family events. Thank you to the Team at Madera LIC!

We went there with friends and we found that food lacked taste and was not authentic Cuban. Music was loud but no dancing allowed. The only outstanding item was the service. Our waiter was the best, so attentive, no pleasant and so professional.

As soon as we arrived we were greeted and seated right away for our 7:15pm reservation. The restaurant is very charming with pink roses and tea light candles at each table. Which was perfect as we were celebrating our anniversary. There was live jazz-like music that started around 7:40pm which added to the pleasant atmosphere. The food was delicious with good size portions. I feel we got a decent amount food for the price. We have the fried calamari for a appetizer and they brought petite size bread to the table with so sort of olive oil dressing on side. Then we had the madera chicken and the churrasco. The churrasco was delicious! Our waiter was very friendly and accommodating. Overall, we had a good experience at Madera. My husband and I like to go out to eat and try new places. This is one we would definitely go again to.
