About a month ago went on a monday steak night. Use to feature shell steak now has sirloin which is a cheaper cut for the sane price. My and my wifes steak was smaller a bit fatty an nervy .I have been going here a long time but i will no longer . Cheaper steak for the same price?? Not me.

I don't know if they were having an off night or they have a new chef, but last night the food was tasteless. We shared the chateaubriand for two...flavorless, meat was in brown flavorless liquid, usually served with onion rings, not last night, usually served with creamed spinach...not last night. I had to use salt just to taste something..the complimentary salad sat in the fridge prepared for days, wanted blue cheese dressing, got ranch. We ordered dessert. The worst apple pie I ever had. The crust was raw, it was like apples on paste. Perhaps it was an off night, but with the price of food lately, I won't be back. I saw many new faces and the pretty blonde owner was not there. I assume new owners. I wish them luck, but someone should taste the food before serving.

Our waitress Stephenie was very engaging and helpful when my friend and I were trying to decide on our entrees. I was impressed by the fact that when we informed Stephenie that we were trying to make an 8pm movie at the Malverne cinema ?, she made sure that our food came out in a timely manner. Loved the seasoned fries that came with my chicken basket. Before leaving, we informed her that we would ask for her the next time we planned to dine there. I remember coming to this cafe with my grandparents and friends while I was a student at Malverne high school!

Came with my cousin and niece today. Immediately when I parked and saw the facade, I knew what the vibe would be and when I walked inside I was totally right. This is the neighborhood place where everyone at the bar knows each other and you can tell they come here all the time and I love that. Deb was our waitress and she was wonderful!! The teriyaki potstickers special were so crispy and flavorful! My niece loved her sliders!
