My favorite place to buy my groceries. Been shopping there for over 20 years. This is a seasonal fruit and vegetable market in the old world style. The prices and quality of the produce are excellent for in-season fruit. We can't expect to get the same quality of the same produce when it is out of season for anyone who posted a poor review. Cross Island offers high quality food, with an emphasis on Italian food products, at reasonable prices. The specialty stores within the main store make for a unique and richer variety of offerings.
Good fruit and produce. The name does not lie. They focus on the fruit. Go here for the produce and the specialty stores within the store. Not necessarily the best if you want to do normal grocery shopping.Also they hire a lot of young kids to work here and don't be afraid to interrupt their conversations if you need to check out.
