We are so happy to have discovered Trini Bites on Long Island. It was a pleasure from the moment I spoke to Renee ( the owner ) to the time I went to pick up our Christmas dinner she cooked for us ! The food was off the charts good !! . We ordered beef / shrimp wontons , chicken roti and chicken Pelau . It reminded us of the way my mother in law and Granny would cook when they were still with us. I can’t wait to order again and try more of the menu ! Do yourself a favor, if you’re on Long Island (but don’t wanna drive to Queens ) and feel for authentic Trini cuisine order from Trini Bites!!

I cannot praise Trini Bites enough! When "shopping" around for a food truck for my daughter's first birthday party, I wanted it to be perfect. Locating Trini Bites was a huge success for myself and our family. We got so much positive feedback from everyone who attended the party. Not only were the portions perfect for our guests, they were able to still keep their Caribbean taste buds fulfilled. Renee (the owner of Trini Bites) also added sauces and pepper to the mix for those who wanted to try different flavors with their food. Our meal included chicken wontons, a double, and a buss up shot (or rice) with chicken curry--Delicious! That was more than enough food for everyone. In addition, the communication between myself and Renee were seamless and clear. She was able to work with me in planning for my vegetarian guests as well. The flow of the party was also organized in the sense that the truck pulled up early, took a spot right out front of the house and started playing some Machel (my favorite soca artist) as guests lined up to receive their food. Additionally, the touch of music definitely added something extra to the uniqueness of having a food truck with delightful food at an event. In addition, our guests felt comfortable with the staff of Trini Bites and ordering their food was efficient and their meals were prepared to their liking. One of the best parts is that after the party, I didn't have to worry about storing food, cleaning up a mess, or risking catered food spoil under a hot July sun. Therefore, if you're looking for flavorful and friendly service, Trini Bites is the right company for you!

I waited 2 hours for food. they were taking their time in the truck. didn't look like they were rushing at all. There were other people around me that waited for 1 hour and 40 minutes. Why are there sharp bones in the meat? like small ones. I don't get it. Also why are you charging 3 dollars for coconut water in small cup. This food truck messed up orders and took so long. Why was there a person just standing outside taking orders. she could've bene helping with making the food.

First off, this food truck came to my job in Manhattan because for the summer we have different food trucks every friday. My coworkers and I were excited to support this one (or so we thought) 2. They arrived late. They were supposed to be here from 11-3. Wasn't up and running until almost 12. Waited on line for like for 30 mins to place my order which is long but whatever. After I finally placed my order I was told there would be another 20 minute wait for the food. While waiting for my food they made an announcement that the roti had run out. () no roti at a trini food truck!!!! They had only been there for an hour!! To make matters worse my food took an hour and a half before it was ready. my lunch break had long gone. And to put the cherry on top when i looked in the bag it wasn't what I ordered. Total disaster. I am so upset I don't want my food at all. my coworkers ate theirs and said it wasn't even worth all the hassle. We got robbed without a gun!!! Totally disgusted. Yall should be ashamed of yourselves Trini Bites zero stars but was forced to at least add 1.

Can’t say enough good things about this restaurant!! The food is delicious, the portions are correct, it is well priced and the staff is great about explaining / making suggestions. Wait can we go back to DELICIOUS… I usually go for the Veggie Buss Ups but went with Curry Chicken Wantons tonight and ohhhh my!!! Three snaps up in Z formation :)

I ordered the chicken wontons for our sons 18th birthday to serve as appetizers. They were the absolute hit of the party! This delicious piece of heaven paired with their sauce is to die for. I’m looking forward to ordering again.

I am a Trini so I had to show my support. Walked in and I smelled my mother's cooking. Owner very sweet and personable. Had the curry chicken buss up (curry was perfect), doubles and pholourie (perfect balance of crispy on the outside and light and airy on the inside). Comes with a nice tamarind sauce. Please come and support this establishment. Parking is available. I will definitely be back. You can order ahead and pick it up. Enjoy ?

I was rooting for this place and really wanted to give a good review. It’s hard to get good Trini food in Nassau County. I ordered chicken buss up, it tasted really good BUT the portion size was extremely small bite sized for real. For the $14 I paid I would drive to Queens and get 4 times the size and I’m guaranteed to get real pieces of chicken and plenty buss up. They don’t give you whole pieces of chicken, they mince it and give you that. The doubles was very dry and small, the channah in doubles should have sauce, it was lacking. I was very dissatisfied and will not be returning unfortunately.

Decent, true to its name.

My sister and I were visiting a nearby bakery, and decided to stop in for takeout so we could try some of their famous wontons. Upon entering, we were greeted with a menu by friendly staff, and the owner came to the front to say hello as well. Our order was ready in less than 15 minutes, and the staff even offered to bring it carside. We ordered the curry chicken and roti meal, and the shrimp wontons. Everything was delicious, and the wontons were amazing, especially with the signature sauce!!

Flavor was average, portions were very small (literally ‘bite size’), price was too expensive. Food arrived cold and missing toppings and sauces. I’m Trinidadian, born and raised so I’m comparing it to homemade and restaurant version of everything I ordered.

Found this place on seamless and I’m so happy I did! Being from Trinidad it is hard to find authentic Trini food here on Long Island. The food was absolutely fresh, delicious and flavorful. Customer service over the phone was so warm and friendly. From now on I will be ordering from here quite often and they are sure to satisfy your Trini cravings ?. Thank you!
