I have to admit it , the food was good. Very traditional cooking with great authentic flavor. However, the service was debatable a very grumpy actitud took a very delicious dish to a very un-tasteful experience.

My family has been coming here religiously ever since we moved to NY 10 years ago. Staff and George are always so kind and welcoming. Food is authentic and absolutely delicious. Love love love

What a disappointment. My wife and I walked in at 3:30pm and no one was available to greet us. Finally someone sleeping on the chairs got up and asked if they could help. The place was absolutely empty. We ordered cheese raviolis that were pretty decent in taste but I could have gotten a larger amount from chef-boy-ardee. The shrimp cocktail was 4 medium sized shrimps. What in the world are they thinking. I spoke with the waiter after he asked, How was it? I gave him my honest opinion and he laughed and tried to justify the 10 raviolis for $21.95 and the 4 medium shrimps for $16.95. I left hungry and I will not return. Good luck catching the next unhappy customer.

We came to this place about 2 years ago and everything was amazing but tonight was so ridiculous it was like something out of a bad movie. The clams were bad. They tasted rotten. The guy who sat us down was rude and short with us and it took forever to get our cocktails (my brother in law got a beer which never came- How hard is it to pop open a Peroni??) The other tables weren't happy, one of them complained and left early and so did we. We never even got to the entrees bc we left but before that the Caesar salad I ordered was basically chopped lettuce in water. This restaurant has a beautiful location right across the street from the marina but don't be fooled by looks, this place will ruin whatever dining experience that you may have planned for the evening

Ordered take out, shrimp and pasta, got 1/4 a normal portion size for $31. The place is a total rip off and we wont eat here again.

Ordered takeout, and was underwhelmed. Everything was prepared quickly, but food (we got veal and a farfalla dish) didn't stand out from other Italian places in the neighborhood, and portion size was quite small. $50+ for both dishes. With all the other Italian restaurant options in the area that are really great at a lower price point, La Piccola isn't at the top of my list to repeat.

No better northern Italian cuisine than this small intimate restaurant and the food is exceptional pricy yes but i can almost guarantee pure satisfaction and the most tender calimari EVER
