I can’t say enough good things about Modern on the Rails for my daughter’s bridal shower brunch. I had great feedback on the venue and the delicious food. The staff was attentive and so helpful, my guest’s drinks as well as the buffet selections were constantly filled. The atmosphere is unique and so pretty with exposed brick and beautiful chandeliers. I. borrowed their cart to do a bouquet bar that turned out to be a hit with everyone. The shower was everything the bride to be had hoped for. Thank you to Lori, John, Julianna and Kevin for making this an stress-free, perfect day for us.

Brunch goers beware. My cousins and I had brunch at modern on the rails on Sunday. To make a long story short we didn't realize when we got our bill that they added 20% tip to our bill. Yes you heard it 20% gratuity on the bill not knowing this we gave them an 18% tip. As soon as we got into the car, we realize something was wrong with the check so I called right away and was told that the manager would call me back. Of course she did not. We called the next day and again didn't hear back. When I called back on Sunday, the woman who picked up the phone said "oh your server should've told you that the tip was included". Seriously!!! We gave him over $100 tip for pouring mimosas! I'm so upset about this whole situation. Obviously, I will not be going there for brunch, ever!!!

Such a great place! I've been to their other location and was excited to try out this one. I tried the empanadas, salad, bread, chicken parm, fish, and zucchini. Everything I tried was fresh and flavorful. I would definitely come back here again. This spot has a cozy atmosphere. We sat next to the fire. Our server was friendly and attentive too. I would come back to try more of their food options. Such a great dinner spot!

Had a reservation for 7:15. Showed up 20 mi early and our table was ready. Meal wasn't finished until 10:11pm. Had to ask several times for drinks to be refilled. Took 20-30 minutes for each round of drinks to show up. Took almost 30 minutes for the check to show up and it was wrong... food was good, but not worth the poor and inattentive service

Moved to Mamaroneck, struggled with dining experiences, but Modern on the Rail stood out. Chic ambiance, quick service, and delicious food. Complimentary bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar: Divine; could practically drink it. Truffle Chicken: Delicious. Chicken Francese: Delicious. Penne Vodka: Delicious. Overall, a great dining choice in the neighborhood.

My son and daughter-in-law had their wedding at Modern on the Rails in January! The ambience was beautiful and romantic and so quaint... What a phenomenal event!The food was extremely well prepared and presented. The wait staff could not do enough to serve you, and were extremely attentive..All of our relatives and friends in attendance raved about what an exceptional wedding venue it was, and a wonderful time was had by all. We are so grateful to the manager, Lori for her hard work and dedication..Yes, it was our family's wedding, but it really was a wedding to remember. ????
My wife and I had our wedding 2 weeks ago at Modern, and it’s hard to put into words how perfectly Lori (the manager) and her staff executed our big day. We were looking for a place that could fit 100 people, while still feeling intimate and Modern on the Rails did not disappoint. Food, drinks, service and most importantly atmosphere were top notch and gave us and our guests a special and unique experience compared to usual blank canvas wedding venues. I highly recommend this restaurant for a wedding, special party or even a perfect sit down dinner.Parking: More that enough

A beautifully converted rail station house, this restaurant is beautiful to look at and maintained and decorated very nicely. Our server is not a stranger to us, she's a regular employee there which says a lot about the owners and how they run things right? Their staff stays and they are good at their jobs. She's waited on us quite a few times going back a few years. The Cosmo was perfectly made and the dinner was delicious, truffle chicken and I finished with a warm apple Bundt cake ala mode and it was all delish!
