Had a great tasting yesterday during the eclipse! The winery is beautiful, and Amy did a great job taking care of everyone despite being the only one there. Would love to come back when there is more food offered and on the weekend! We enjoyed it!

Nice view , but very small Cheese board was 35$! Outdoor wasn’t open on a nice day. No dogs allowed in the outdoor area

Great place for a wine tasting. Haven't been during events, but can imagine how nice they'll be just from seeing the grounds. Nice open areas, and the tasting room itself is pretty spacious. Didn't need a reservation when I went, but it was also during the off season. Great selection of wines, and didn't dislike a single of the ones I tried in my flight.Highly recommend for small groups!

Make sure you take a picture of your receipt. They overcharged our credit card. Drove 2 hours to try this place out and left with disappointment (wine was mid) and credit card fraud.

We can’t say enough great things about Benmarl winery. The service was excellent, and the wines were fantastic. My wife and I were there for their Valentines Day wine and cheese tasting and it did not disappoint. They were very attentive to all of the customers needs, and everyone around us looked like they were having as great of a time as we were. Also- the view is unbelievable, you have to experience it for yourself. I would highly recommend taking a trip to Benmarl, it was the highlight of our trip!

After 25yrs.I'm disappointed and canceled my membership. As a member of the wine club, you can never choose what wine you get when your distribution is ready. And yesterday was the last time I gave them the chance. Out of a full case of wine, they refused to swap out even 1 bottle. And when I asked to cancel my membership, they didn't even hesitate or make any attempt to keep me as a member. Before this place was sold, the original owners were more appreciative of the guest that visit.. now it seems like the new owner only cares about the money.

Large winery. Busy when we were there. Nice view over the valley. More like a restaurant with separate tables and food.

Nice winery. It has a pretty overlook area. We did the flight and the wines were pretty good! Outdoor heated portable bathrooms. Pizza decent. Wine and pizza...a win win

Very nice winery. We enjoyed it very much. It was a beautiful day we sampled 4 wines, sat outside overlooking the valley below. Service was ok, they had a food truck, ordered a pizza, which was very good. Food truck had a very good selection of products. Parking was easy.We enjoyed our stay at Ben marl winery.

Benmarl Winery is a craft winery and vineyard that opened in Marlboro, New York in 1971. It was founded by vintner Mark Miller. The history of the 37-acre estate actually goes back to the mid-1800s when it was purchased by Andrew Jackson Caywood. He was a leading authority in winemaking and viticulture in the Hudson Valley region and helped to introduce many grape varieties. He was the first to plant grapes on the property. Miller purchased the property in 1957 and continued to improve the property and introduce new grape varieties. He named the estate "Benmarl" (Gaelic for "Slate Hill"). The winery operation opened in 1971 and the vineyard was later granted the New York State Farm Winery license No. 1, which makes Benmarl the oldest continually-operating vineyard in the United States. In 2006, Benmarl was purchased by Victor Spaccarelli Jr. and his family with the intention of reviving the spirit of Hudson Valley viticulture and process of winemaking. They replanted many of the abandoned vineyards and helped to refurbish the estate. Victor's son Matthew is the current winemaker and Benmarl currently produces about 20 different wines. My wife and I recently visited Benmarl Winery while we were celebrating our sixth anniversary in the Hudson Valley. Our visit coincided with the winery's annual Grape Stomping Festival, so the place was hopping! The views of the Hudson River Valley from the estate were just breathtaking! We first took a tour of the winery's production floor where we had an opportunity to taste some of the wine grapes, sample an unfiltered wine straight from the tank, and even got to speak with winemaker Matthew Spaccarelli. Next we had a tasting of six of their wines including the Dry Rosé, Stainless Steel Chardonnay, Slate Hill Red, Cabernet Franc, Riesling, Marlboro Village Blush. The latter was our favorite! The winery also makes delicious wood-fired pizzas on the weekends. We enjoyed the "Don Cheech" (half pesto, half tomato with fresh mozzarella and basil topped with fresh grape tomatoes and parmesan cheese) and the "Zambito" (Margherita-style topped with Italian soppressata). Before leaving, my wife channeled her inner Lucille Ball and stomped on some wine grapes. Although it was cold, she said it was so satisfying. We had such a fun time at Benmarl and would love to return in the future!

The winery has beautiful views. The wines were great. We sampled a bunch. Food is cash only, it's separate from the winery so you have to pay and pick up to bring back to your table. The pizza and the fries were delicious. I'd recommend the pesto pizza, that was the table's favorite.

I spent a day with friends and for $35 enjoyed a full day of wine tasting and a beautiful view. We toured the small facility and gained insight about the process, then enjoyed sipping wine along with a lovely cheese and cracker platter (additional cost.) My friends were up for grape stomping, which looked like fun yet didn't appeal enough to me to give it a try. I was assured that "feet grapes" do not actually get into the delicious wine. This is a beautiful family run facility with a delicious product.

Even on a rainy day this is a nice to visit. The view of the Hudson Valley is beautiful. It’s fun to try different wines. A choice of 4 for $15. Note, food must be ordered in another building and they only take cash. There is an ATM, but the fee is high 11%. The main tasting room is very loud when it is full. On a sunny day the winery must be wonderful. The fried zucchini sticks are delicious.

New yearly girls trip FOR SURE. My girls and I are from CT and they planned a bachelorette party for me! This was our first stop. They have great tasting and priced wine as well as a nice hefty pour wine flights! They also have cauliflower AND gluten free pizza options (both gluten free) that were really good! When I went over to order pizza I met the owner victor and we had such a wholesome conversation about life and the area. He gave me my pizza on the house and mentioned a band that would be there later that does line dancing and has a large following. We negated all other plans to come back after settling into our air b n b. We found out later in the night when we reconnected with the owner that he used to owned the air b n b we stayed in! The band hillbilly parade based in NY let me sing some tunes with them and their dummer Christine gave me some very nice words of wisdom and well as his drumsticks! The owner then came back to talk to us and gifted us each a bottle of wine to say how nice it was to talk with us and connect throughout the day! 100% a 10 star rating. Not just were all the people including the servers there so nice, everyone had amazing vibes and just wanted everyone to be happy and have a good time. We decided we will come back to the winery yearly and stay in the same air b n b to commemorate such an amazing memory we made that weekend with old AND new friends!Food & drinks: FOOD AND DRINK REASONABLY PRICED AND OPTIONS FOR EVERYONENoteworthy details: SUPPORT NICE PEOPLE!
