First time coming to this place , the lady attending us was very nice she helped us with the menu described each dish nicely before ordering, she gave us water and some snacks before our food was ready without charge, she was very nice with any requests we made, the food was amazing the look and taste 100/10 definitely recommend for couples family or even by yourself, if you'd like to try yourself what my girlfriend and I got is fried calamari, empanadas of chicken and steak, lomo saltado, tallarines verdes and 2 passion fruit drinks, for dessert we got tres leches cake slice and ice cream, will definitely be coming back again !

Lovely place, Their drinks are very creative! And delicious! Their limeña is my favorite. Their food is flavorful and good portions. Their empanadas are eh, they could be better, but everything else we tried was really good! Service is outstanding. Everyone is really nice! Will definitely come back!

FINALLY somewhere for good drinks in this neighborhood! I'm so glad i discovered Mama Pio because their drinks are great and food is delicious. They have a 2 for $14 margarita/pisco sour special during happy hour, but their happy hour times aren't really set so ask about this! I do wish they had a smaller happy hour menu though for smaller bites. Overall, however, the ambiance is cozy and casual, good for a date or hang, and def for a good drink!

I don't like hotdogs but I enjoyed their salichipapas pero not their arroz chaufa. The Chicken was ok.

Great little spot in Maspeth, Queens. Service is great. Seating inside or outside which is covered. We ordered the chicken empanadas which were okay but a little dry. The Yuca fries are decent. I ordered the ceviche which was delicious and large portion we also had the soup with shrimp not sure what it was called but have the picture, very good lots of shrimp and bud portion as well. We could have shared the entrees. They do have a very small selection of wine. Dessert was a flan which again was not bad obviously pre-made. Overall a very good meal but definitely pricey for what we ordered. Very hard to park though.

I cannot say anything more than excellent. The food was great beside that the service was excellent compliment to the manager who runs the place. He even change the channel for us so we can watch the favorite sport while enjoying the delicious food. Defiantly will go back and try some thing different.

Cute out door seating in the front! Tables were evenly spaced out with plexiglass glass in between. Not super packed on a Friday night at 745pm ! I'm butchering the name of the dish but we ordered the creamy shredded chicken breast over rice and the steak with pesto pasta! Details in their menu. It was delicious!! You can adjust the level of spice in the chicken. The pesto pasta was super creamy!! We also had the frozen margarita!! It wasn't too sweet: just the way we wanted! The female waitresses were sweet and patient! They offered opinions on their dishes and were very accommodating! The biggest negative we have to say was the bill. It was a party of two and without saying anything the "manager/bartender" adjusted our bill and put a custom 20% tip. The waitresses were super apologetic. the manager told us he would change it and explained he adjusted to help out the waitresses. He also said no one ever complained but us. It put a bad taste to a rather excellent dinner. We were going to pay over %15 percent Bc the waitresses were so great. But we felt like our hand was forced. There were no signs saying this ahead of time. And his explanation of trying to help the waitresses made me feel like why aren't you paying them a higher salary! Yes in the end, we would come again! Food was great! That was the only negative ! There should be a sign .

my friends and i came here after a long hot day at the zoo. we were a table of 8 people. there was only 1 other table in there. we started off with the chicken and cheese empanadas, anticuchos, fried calamari and papas a la huancaina. the cheese empanadas were delish and the chicken was a little on the dry side. the anticucho however was super tough and definitely over cooked. we enjoyed the papas and fried calamari. the salsa for the fried calamari was delicious. the perfect amount of sourness. so far it was a good start. now onto the entree. we ordered some lomo saltado, and some pollos a la brasa to share. the lomo saltado was bland. the pollos a la brasa was dry. we definitely didnt enjoy the entrees. but on top of that we waited a long time for it. i believe our waitress arrived to work late. it was a little after 4 pm. we had to hail down for some service. for water. for condiments. for everything. again there was only one other table in the restaurant. overall i wasnt completely impressed. i'll just continue to go to kantu in middle village.

It was a wonderful experience at the Mama Pio. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering its location. We are so glad that we have purchased Grilled Skirt Steak, it was really fantastic. The workers were really friendly, smiled a lot, felt genuine. I highly recommend it.

They definitely follow covid protocol. My family and I were in the area and decided to check this place out and we are so very glad that we did! First they bring the table roasted inca corn nuts and the best ajji dipping sauce I've ever had (so much so they gave me some to go) lol our waitress was great! The chicken empanadas, chicken saltado and chicken salad with strawberries and candied pecans were delicious, so much so we ordered chocolate mousse to go. Service was great and the ambiance was nice. Definitely will be revisiting soon! Check this place out & Thank me later.
