Good food and service was top notch. The atmosphere is very nice along with the music playing in the background. Our server was amazing! Well- we had 3 servers and they all were professional and always had a smile!

Awesome food! Awesome drinks! Great service. Best mojitos and I complain about every place that makes my mojitos. They make them perfectly here every time. The wasabi chips are a wonderful surprise. Lovely ambiance. Definitely try the shrimp pops and sushi platter. We have been there several times and everything is delicious. The General Tso's chicken is slightly spicy and juicy. The dim sum sampler is a great introduction to figuring out what you like. The fried rice with bone marrow was definitely something unique to try. If you are looking for a great dining experience you have to try this place out.

Great Food !! Me & my gf had to sit at the bar because the restaurant was reserved. The bartenders were really nice and gave us free shots. The general tsos chicken and fried rice was delicious & their drinks were strong and tasty

We got lucky on an early Thursday evening. Was not crowded or loud at all. The cocktails slap and the food was great. The fried wonton chips they give each table had a great wasabi flavor but wasn't overpowering. Had specialty rolls which were fresh and tasty. Will definitely be back.

DO NOT EAT HERE! FIRST TIME EVER GETTING UP AND LEAVING A RESTAURANT DURING THE MEAL! We waited 20 minutes for our table (which normally we would never be bothered by) but the restaurant had probably 15-20 open tables... we chalked it up to them possibly being short staffed and kept an open mind. Our first waitress attempted to fill our glasses with water but proceeded to miss each cup and pour water all over the table and floor to the extent there was a literal puddle next to our table. Maybe it was her first day or she was nervous? Again, our minds were still open. New waiter introduces himself and we ask him about happy hour drink options. He tells us the lychee martini is the only happy hour drink (even though their instagram shows a list of 10+ drink options and appetizers). My friend agrees to the lychee martini and the waiter says "we're all out of those"... LIKE WHAT?! Why did you even offer that as an option then?! We each opt for a glass of wine instead, and two appetizers to share. Both appetizers we wanted were "sold out" (mind you it's only 6:00 pm) so we chose two backup options (pork and chive dumplings and popcorn chicken). When our glasses of wine arrive they have lipstick marks on the rim and are covered in thumb prints, and one was actually dripping wet absolutely soaked with water pooling in the bottom. We ask for clean glasses and one was still dirty even after being replaced. The dumplings came out first and they honestly tasted like they were from the trader joe's freezer section. We asked for forks as an alternative to chopsticks and they arrived DIRTY WITH DRIED RICE STUCK TO THEM. Very clearly were not washed. DISGUSTING IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. Our second appetizer (popcorn chicken) is placed down on the table and it looks raw and like they poured panko straight out of the can onto the chicken without baking/frying it? After the dirty forks our appetites were shot, and just looking at that chicken was the icing on the cake. We asked the hostess if we could speak to a manager because we'd like to leave. The hostess said there's no manager present but she'd "try to find someone". She proceeds to ignore us, and avoid making eye contact with us (and clearly not look for anyone in charge) for 15 minutes. We stopped her again and re-iterated that we wanted to leave and would like to pay the bill or speak to someone in charge immediately. She said she could give us new forks but there was nothing else she could do and she WALKED AWAY MID CONVERSATION! We left cash on the table and hit the road. On our way out we actually passed a commotion at the hostess stand where there were more dissatisfied customers voices their complaints! Some other things to note: All of their menus have "PROOF ONLY" on them which means they didn't pay for the final versions. Super shady if you ask me. They do not have a website, only social media which is another red flag. Additionally their food on social media looks absolutely nothing like what was served to us or tables around us. Don't believe everything you see on Instagram! After this experience I read through some comments on their reels and posts and saw previous customers stating they got salmonella/ill after dining there. I'm SO glad we only had a frozen dumpling! Overall the most disappointing dining experience I've ever had. I suspect they'll be shut down soon.

Not sure if this was an off night or a regular occurrence but our experience was an epic fail. Upon arriving, we waited 20 min and sat down (the restaurant was barely half filled, so assuming it maybe had to do with staffing?). Our waitress started by pouring water all over the floor and table (easy mistake, so not a big deal), we asked her about happy hour deals, she proceeded to tell us it was only 1 drink (lychee martini) and nothing else, but that they were sold out. Mind you, their menu shows multiple drink options and happy hour app deals. We then got a new waiter, who struggled big time, just confused about everything and clearly out of his element. 2 of the apps we wanted, were sold out, we got our wine and all 3 glasses were dirty with lipstick, finger prints or soaking wet. Once apps came out, the forms we requested had dried food. we tried speaking to a manager, who we were told was not there, the hostess went to "find someone" and never came back. I went to find her, to ask if there was anything we could do, since we didn't plan on staying and wanted to leave (we hadn't touched our wine or app) and just knew we didn't want to stay any further. We had no problem paying for the 1 app we ate and to tip the waiter, but a flat out said "there was nothing they could do, and just walked away". We put cash on the table and left, also hearing another group complaining and fighting with the hostess on the way out. I've heard good things about this place, but I would NOT go back.

I've had it saved for a while but never had the chance to visit. Ended up coming here last minute for the boyfriend's birthday. We got seated in the back section which was kinda closed off from the rest of the restaurant but I guess it was okay. It was pretty busy for a rainy Saturday night which reflected in the service. We ordered the tomahawk steak and the steak fried rice and it was really good. I would definitely come back again maybe for happy hour.

Omg!!!! The restaurant is beautiful! The caged tables by the bar sold me! The bartender (black gentlemen) was our server as well and he was such a sweetheart. Me and my partner had our date night here and our server made it extra special! We started off with the Cinna-Margarita 10/10 ...followed up with 2 sets of tequila shots :) Appetizers: The FRIED CALAMARI WITH SALT AND PEPPER 100000/10 - must try :) The rock shrimp Tempura - 10/10 Crystal Shrimp Tempura - 10/10 Entrees: Classic Flank Beef & Broccoli- so filling and flavorful! 100/10 Sautéed Dry sea scallops - 8/10 Overall the food and service was phenomenal and I can't wait to go back!

Cinnabar is wonderful as a date night supper getaway or a get together with friends sitting at the caged tables. The ambiance was delightful and easy on the eyes, the food was delicious; whatever you order, you will throughly enjoy! We enjoyed the service from our waitress and the manager was just as gracious! We found our go to place and looking forward to new events that will happen here!

A rotating wheelhouse of restaurants, this location that once housed a Ginza, and most recently, a Ben's Crab Shack is now Cinnabar, the latest iteration of Asian-influenced restaurants at this spot. I arrived on a rainy Saturday evening with no reservation and was instructed to sit at the bar due to the tables being all booked. Understandable. For appetizers, I order the rock shrimp tempura. The shrimp themselves were pretty small, but the serving size was decent, so no qualms there. Tasted great. For my main entrée, I ordered the flank steak and broccoli, with the side of brown rice. However, when my meal came out, one of the staff (not my server since we were seated at the bar) brought out a side of white rice, put his hand on my shoulder and said pretty nonchalantly, "We're out of brown rice, but this is okay, right?", and placed the white rice on the bar before I could gather myself to come up with a reply. Not the best interaction; I wish they had asked me if I wanted something else before assuming I'd just take the white rice. Overall not the end of the world, but still felt it was a situation they can improve on in the future. The food itself was fine (and yes, I ate the white rice). Other weird things: it looks like they don't have a website up yet, so I had to tap around on Instagram to view their menu before coming here, which was kind of annoying. They've been around for almost 6 months, so that's a bit odd. Also, they must be operating on a tight budget, as the actual PRINTED menus have the words "PROOF" in the background on every page. This is super unusual because it implies they didn't pay for the final print-ready copy. Again, not a critique on the actual food, but I've never seen that before in my life at a real restaurant. Maybe they thought no one would notice? Aesthetics were good, I loved the red, cinnabar-colored decor. Bathroom could've used a little cleaning but hey it was a busy weekend so not going to knock them for that. Overall, not a bad option if you're looking for sit-down Chinese food on LI with a nice visual theme. 3.5-stars.

Visited Cinnabar last night for the first time! We enjoyed our meals for the most part. I'd say the food was pretty good it wasn't absolutely excellent but it wasn't bad. Service was pretty decent. We sat at the bar since we didn't have a reservation and the bar tenders were sociable, funny, and attentive. Because we sat at the bar we didn't get to see what the rest of the restaurant looked like but it did have a nice vibe. And the music wasn't overwhelmingly loud so that was a bonus! Our only qualm was that a lot of items were unavailable which wasn't not disclosed to us upon ordering so my partners meal has substituted items which were just brought out without question or without even asking if it was something he'd prefer. Outside of that our time there was pretty decent and I'd be willing to go back. Love the fact that I found a spot that offers me soup dumplings that I don't have to drive the the boroughs for!
