Spend Mother’s Day here. What a big Mistake! The food was subpar and the service was very limited. The atmosphere looks ok but nothing too much to it. My Money was not well spent.

Everything was wonderful. Joey was perfect! Drinks were good. The only problem was that it was very loud and it was hard to talk with the people at the table. Pretty place.

Good Saturday night vibe, but the food is truly inedible. Poor quality and poorly prepared/cooked.

This review is based mainly on my experience with Dave, one of the managers at Refuge. My waitress was pleasant, food was mid and drinks were just ok but watered down with ice. We had a party of 10 that was reserved over the phone 2 weeks prior to our reservation. There was no mention at the time of booking of a 2 hour maximum time to dine for a large group. The restaurant had open tables for other large groups while we were there. However, Dave felt the need to rush our party, and abruptly told us that we had to leave bc he had another large group coming in. What Dave didn’t realize is that we were still in the midst of finishing our dinner, had ordered desserts and were still waiting for the bill. Dave never introduced himself as a manager, never asked about our dining experience, and his first encounter with us was him telling us that we needed to leave our table bc he had another large party coming in. All the guests in our party felt rushed and we decided to cancel our dessert order. Dave comp’d us $80 off the bill and gave us an insincere apology for rushing us but didn’t seem to have any empathy. Dave acted as if we should be grateful for him comp’ing us even though that wasn’t the point or what we expected from our dining experience. Another manager by the name of Myra offered us an apology and talked to our group with empathy about the situation. I would never go back to Refuge after my experience with Dave. Being in the hospitality industry requires a certain level of customer service that Dave does not have. Hopefully he can learn from this situation and do better.

We were in the private party room but from moving back & forth through the restaurant it was a warm & clean restaurant. Friendly staff & clean private restroom stalls . Very nice place.

Vegetarian options: Once again I am forced to review under googles ridiculous & clueless guidelines! IT'S NOT ABOUT "vegetarian" options it's about the VEGAN OPTIONS! When is totally uninformed deference going to be recognized?!?!?!Refuge has a separate VEGAN menu that while not extensive is certainly good enough if not eating here weekly! At least The Refuge is aware that vegetarian is only half way there in a Environmental, Health and most of all an Ethical person's knowledge. The sauteed 'chicken' & vegs is an extremely generous serving & absolutely delish. The 'macro' bowl is also large & perfect, though night we were there they evidently were out of raddicho & the arugula was past prime. I'd still order again as the dressing was best ever!My friend & I split both & were VERY satisfied. My only caviate is that they have the music so terribly loud it's impossible to have a conversation & there isn't even anywhere to dance!!!

We went there the other night for a late dinner. The server was very polite and attentive. The guacamole and chips were delicious. The bacon cheese burger was awful. I asked for medium rare, and it was well done! It was listed on my bill as $18.95 cheeseburger. Then, separate charge of $2.95 for cheese??? Well, if it's a cheese burger, why am I paying extra for cheese ?? And of course, extra burnt bacon for $3.00 The whole thing was a hockey puck and I left 3/4s of it. Then 2 Titos $26 and 2x ($3) upcharges for you guessed it, Titos. The classic Margherita was very good.
