As someone who tries to support local businesses as much as possible, I’m super disappointed to say that I don’t think I will be returning to the cottage after the service that my friends and I received tonight. It was about a 20 minute wait which was fine, we saw some open seats at the bar so went over to get a drink before sitting down for dinner. The bartender Dan came over and we still needed a minute to figure out our drink orders so my boyfriend ordered a water to start. The bartender scuffed and then went over to one of his coworkers complaining that we were taking up seats at the bar just to get a water. This was an instant turn off. No one else was waiting to sit at the bar and we were going to order drinks we just needed a minute. After he dropped the water off he looks at me and says “NEXT” very rudely which again, caught me off guard. He was extremely rude to my friends and I. My boyfriend then asked for a shot of whiskey and the bartender made fun of his order? We were all very confused at these remarks as we were just trying to have a good time and get some drinks. It ruined our time out and was such a turn off. This man should NOT be working in customer service.

What a local gem! Our bartender, Daniel, makes a mean 1 iron cocktail. I had a Beef on Weck and my guy had a Fish Fry….delicious and worth ordering again!!!! If you’re in the neighborhood, stop in, you won’t regret it!

We sat at the bar for cocktails before dinner, the bartender was amazing!! He can make you any type of drink, and it is out of this world. He very personable, easy to talk to. The server was just as friendly, she was cute, very attentive to us, I didn’t remember her name, but I know she was pregnant.Thank you for a very enjoyable birthday night!

It's a casual kind of country bar. The owners are nice and allowed friend's to grab a pizza and bring it in after their kitchen closed. The acoustics aren't great but everyone has a story about something involving the place, "back in the day"

We started off with a new server at the restaurant. She was a little scattered. They did not have the seasonal beer that was advertised and they did not have the wine I ordered chilled. We waited a long time for the beer and wine to be delivered. I ordered Grilled Flank Steak with Autumn vegetables from the nightly special menu. The steak was well cooked but the potatoes were obviously cooked at least the day before. Kind of like old baked potatoes in foil from a buffet dinner. The horseradish sauce was haphazardly squeezed all over the plate. Not attractive at all. The rest of the folks ordered from the regular menu and were very happy with their entree's. We will return but I will stick to the pub menu and not have any higher expectations.
