Nice round table . Offered drink menus etc as we sat down . Waitress was exceptional . As we sat down we were presented with a basket full of fresh baked soft pretzels . Now they give these for free and more if we asked and now I have been to many similar type places that have the GIANT pretzel for 15$ . Really ? We get our own here complimentary . Ordered if I remember correctly two steak sandwiches , 1 chicken burrata , 1 vodka with meatballs and 2 tuna bowls . Steal sandwiches cooked perfectly medium rare as requested (not over cooked and tuff at other places) bread was soft and warm and cut in thirds ( how thoughtful ) . Chicken burrata was a hefty plate of food that my buddy didn't finish but was Deelish . The vodka pasta with meatballs was also excellent the sauce had great consistency not runny or watery and 4 large meatballs most and mouthwatering ! I sampled one bc my kid couldn't finish ! (My finicky nephew would have ) . The women ordered the tuna Bowls they said the tuna was cooked properly but the accompanying stuff that is supposed to make up the bowl was disappointing ( they would get sonething else next time ) Only glitch was we ordered a salad to share as appetizer and it never came and the waitress was truly apologetic . Not the end of world! We were stuffed for dessert but my kid was disappointed they removed the camp fire cook at table s'mores dessert ( she loved it in the past ) . That was made up for with the tremendous offering of pink cotton candy for table complimentary ! Who doesn't like a little cotton candy . So to recap free pretzels , great food offering , great service and free dessert and of course great company equals wonderful evening . Will be back sooner than later !“

The dips and platters were absolutely unforgettable, vibrant flavors and amazing balance in taste — not a single complaint first time going! “George Martin The Original is an amazing restaurant with exceptional food and service. Parking can be tough in Rockville Centre but George Martin has plenty of parking in the back. The bar is very large with plenty of seating...regulars often eat at the bar to chat with people around them and the wonderful bartenders. Reservations are recommended especially during busy hours. My husband and I started with two signature drinks...coconut Margarita and French martini. One better than the other. We shared a wedge salad which was split in the kitchen and chopped. Delicious! We both had steak, my favorite is Skirt steak, his filet mignon. Both cooked perfectly to our liking...dessert was pecan pie sundae... yummy... The service is the best around...especially the manager Suzanne who walks around making sure everyone is happy...can be a bit loud but the energy is contagious....love it there and so will you“
“Many restaurants could learn a thing or two from Small Batch. Wonderful experience. Not only was the food fresh, inventive and meticulously prepared, but the staff was just lovely. Everyone was warm, not snobby, and went above and beyond to make my sister's birthday brunch enjoyable for my family. The food focuses on spotlighting the local ingredients and isn't overly fancy. My favorites were the hot fried chicken sandwich, the deconstructed eggplant parm appetizer, and the spaghetti with tomato sauce off of the kids menu (could have used a touch of salt but I think they underseasoned on purpose because it's for kids). The only dish that was pretty underwhelming was the shrimp and grits, which was kind of bland. The decor is also so tasteful and I felt transported to a fancy farmhouse somewhere on the coast of Rhode Island or something. I'll definitely be back!“
“I went to Monroe’s for brunch with a group of 11 people to celebrate a birthday. David and Frank were our servers and they took amazing care of us. Our whole group did the bottomless brunch option and our glasses were never empty because they were quick to refill them. They also continuously checked on us to make sure we had everything we wanted. The food was great! I had the sliced steak sandwich, it was delicious. The french fries and home fries were exceptional and perfectly seasoned. Everyone was happy with the food they ordered. I highly recommend visiting Monroe’s. We will definitely be back!“

Johnny the bartender is a great guy and a class act and a really attentive bartender. The service is great here and you never wait a long time to get a drink no matter how many people are there. The New England clam chowder is like no other. It is very delicious and creamy the perfect consistency for clam chowder. Definitely the best around the Ipswich fried clams are my go to favorite. They are fried to perfection and very clean oil which makes the food very good because the oil is always clean that they cook in. The people that work at Bigelow’s are great. In 1970; my parents made the same decision countless others did; joining the great migration to the suburbs, determined to find a nice, safe place to settle and raise a family in one of the most highly-rated school districts in America. I have never stopped thanking them for that decision, it was simply a wonderful place to grow up. Fortunately; my parents found a modest 3-bedroom home on a block that was literally IN WALKING DISTANCE to All American and, believe me, WE WALKED THERE OFTEN. There may have been a McDonald's or BK somewhere in Massapequa, but I have absolutely no memory of that! Sorry MickyD's, this is just something that doesn't translate to mass franchising, not that you're too worried, I'm sure. I'm an old lady now and I am so pleased to see that little has changed at All American, because...it was perfect. I have tears in my eyes looking at the photos and remembering the countless summer nights we'd scrounge for change in the couch cushions, Mom's purse, anywhere-- and it was always enough to get a hot delicious burger, fries, drink and even a grilled cheese or ar knish. We'd sit along the benches on the sides; happily stuffing our faces, completely unaware of just how lucky we were, or that this cherished icon would still stand half a century later; looking much as it did then-- even though we certainly don't! I know this treasure has received some well-deserved love from the show: Diner's, Drive-in's and Dives and that guy obviously has good taste!
