Number 1 hands down. Moving from the Bronx we have missed eating authentic Mexican food & now i can say that we have found a place who meets our expectations. Keep up the great flavors!!

I went there today to bring home some dinner it was early afternoon and I wanted a burrito with no meat, as I walked in the place is so adorable it gives you a Mexican vibe the cashier was very nice but I was disappointed with the food, the cashier got my order correct I got the vegetarian burrito with no dairy but the burrito lacked beans and guacamole, I also ordered chips with guacamole when I open the container with the chips it was only a handful she gave me a very small container a handful of chips and a pint and a half maybe smaller or guacamole, I was so disappointed because it cost me $7 for a handful of chips I would have been excited if the guacamole was 100% guacamole but it wasn't,, they stretch the guacamole with tamales so that was a very disappointment ,I don't think I would go back there I'm going to try another Mexican restaurant if not then off to Chipotle

First time there. Instantly my favorite Mexican restaurant. Ingredients are fresh, hot sauces are great (habanero). They have cactus! Only (small) ding is that parking lot is a bit small. My final score is 4.9Parking: At building but a tad small. Maybe 8 slots. 12 if creative.

Food wasn’t the problem but their service was! Server looked like she didn’t want to be there, & wasn’t around to check on us. therefore I didn’t tip on my receipt yet our server went ahead & tipped herself $10! poor service & they steal from their customers!

Always a pleasure to eat here. Literally anything you order is great. My daughter ordered a burrito and that thing was MASSIVE!!! Come here, eat here.

This is, without doubt, the worst Mexican food I have eaten. I stopped here during a trip along the nearby interstate and was drawn in by the authentic look inside, the artisan-built chairs, the Mexican ballads playing, the 4-plus stars on these reviews, but regretted that decision as soon as the salsa and chips arrived at the table. This is a Mexican restaurant that could not even get the salsa and nachos right: it was just a soupy mix of watery onions that did not taste well. The burrito I got did not look good with all that melted cheese on top and was stuffed with badly seasoned meat and rice and onions that seemed badly and unevenly reheated (as if in a microwave). The other person with me ordered the chile relleno: What a spectacular fiasco! Instead of the stuffed pepper, it looked like a crushed pepper with seeds inside and cheese thrown on top; the beans were watery and the rice was a mush of reheated food -- the whole thing really looked like vomit on a plate. We both stopped eating after a few bites and drank our jarritos worried about the stomach ache that could come next. Do yourself a favor and don't eat at this place. It was authentically bad.

My meal was excellent. I had the grilled chicken burrito and it was great. The waitress was very attentive.

Staff was friendly, Food was terrible. We had 3 different dishes between us and all were flavorless, a big disappointment.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I was looking forward to trying this place based off the reviews… unfortunately I have no positive things to say about the food. It should have been a red flag to us when there was no one else at this restaurant at 630pm on a Saturday. To start off there is no margaritas at this place. The guacamole was very watered down and lacked flavor, we couldn’t even finish it. The rice was very dry and bland. We didn’t finish any of our food. We immediately felt sick after eating due to the low quality of this food. I’m not sure how other viewers have such high remarks. There was no authenticity to this food. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

It you're ever in search of amazing Mexican food at a great price. Look no further than this restaurant right here. La Rancherita is amazing, high quality food that I've eaten well over 10 times and will continue to eat whenever I am in the area. As a latin man, I grew up with this food and it's wonderful to see another Hispanic family winning by opening such a good restaurant. If you're ever in the Middletown area, stop by here for lunch and you'll want to come back again and again.

I’ve already had two meals from here and there’s been no dissatisfaction. The mole enchiladas were my favorite as the sauce was a balance of savory and spicy. The nachos are wonderful and plentiful to share. I’m a big fan of the beens as well, they are not the typical retried style.I’ll definitely go back for more.
