First I must say this our very time stopping by. There were only employees there, the person taking orders and the cook. I am not sure if this had to with the 4th of July holiday or what but there were only two people there. When we arrive one family was there and had just finished. Then there were the two of us. The place is small with just a handful of tables but it was scorching hot, no AC and the fans they had weren't on. We sat by the door and managed to feel a nice breeze while we ate but if it weren't for that spot I don't think we would have stayed. We ordered lunch:1) pollo guisado with Moro de gandules and tostones 2) Pernil Al honro with Moro de gandules y maduros. We only got two tostones and two maduros. In all my Dominican Puerto Rican life I've never ever received two pieces at any restaurant. So make sure you ask how many you can get. The pollo guisado was good and the Moro was too but not enough to say WOW! THIS IS GOOD. It was just meh. Like having lunch at a friends house. Nothing special there. The pernil had great flavor and was juicy so definitely a good choice but they gave us a very tiny piece of the crispy skin and had to ask for another piece. That one was not very big at all either so a bit disappointed. Beverages - stick to the soda or water. We ordered pina colada and it was not worth it. It tasted like just shaken pina colada mix. Also ordered the passion fruit and again nothing special just juice in a disposable cup. We were served on plates but then given cheap plastic wear that really doesn't grab much food. The kind you get at a food truck, so I asked for real utensils and was give a fork and a spoon. I was shocked. It's like they don't care to serve with proper plates forks knives and spoons. For that give me everything on a disposable plates. I mean really. Service was a bit slow. One plate of food came out first and eventually the second one and the drinks came after. They said they've been there 9-10 years but the service experience spoke otherwise. To be honest we won't be going back. I didn't take any pics because it was so hot in there we just wanted to eat and go. This place has potential. If they would just put some love and AC units it would make a difference. Even matching silver ware, etc makes a difference.

Can I have a shrimp mofongo? Sorry no shrimp. Can I have some tostones? We ran out of platanos. The “chicharrón de pollo” was fried chicken breast. Never seen that before. Just a disaster . Never again .

It’s good , I would eat here again , not one of my top faves but definitely wasn’t the worst and not the best , would recommend , it’s fair price for generous amount of food , the fried pork was to dry and tough for my liking

Steak and onions with yellow rice, sweet plantains and beans on the side, so good. Hubby had the Cuban sandwich which was good also. Try the mojito sauce

My husband and I were very upset to find a big nail in his food we all couldn’t finish our meals after him finding that. Didnt even bothered calling for a refund, because We live 30 minutes out of town. Just wont EVER go back!!!
