Service and atmosphere is what differentiates the franchisees.Hence, my brief review:I entered the McDonalds with my daughter and I saw all the self order kiosks that are now ubiquitous to fast food places--- I despise them! So impersonal. I think the manager saw my disdain and invited me over to his counter. This gentleman was so pleasant. I love manners and good customer service. I always order a happy meal and a strawberry banana smoothie for my daughter, but the manager said it wasnt necessary as he substituted the apple juice for the small smoothie. He also made my coffee light and sweet and asked if it was to my liking or else he'd make me another one.I was shocked that I didnt have to explain what light and sweet means like I usually do at fast food places. I usually get a blank look expression from some teen and if I am lucky I might get a grunt.After I was served, I noticed how clean the tables and floors were. The place is compact, they have old license plates from different states on the walls, it's a lil rustic. The menu has burgers and chicken named for all the states from Maine to California. “My wife and I went out to lunch today in Locust Valley, NY. Last July, the LVI Bistro changed owners. Marcel has owned the restaurant for over 40 years. They had an excellent reputation and their food and serve was always high quality. This was our first visit since the change and we found it was quite good. We sat down in the bar room and was greeted by the new manager, Andrea. He was very nice and gave us their new menus. Everything looked great from the appetizers to the entrees to the desserts. My wife wanted something light, so she ordered a Cesar salad with grilled chicken strips. I ordered a hamburger with fries. Rita, a waitress from the previous owner, chatted with us about the change and was very positive. There is a new chef, who prepares the food and has a quick turnaround. Both our meals were delicious and were served hot. We talked with the manager and he told us they were going to decorate and renovate the formal dining, the upstairs dining area and the bar room area. We were excited that this local restaurant was getting some loving care from the new owners.We enjoyed our lunch time and enjoyed our experience at the LVI Bistro. When we asked for the check, Andrea brought a dish of tiramisu with two spoons. He told us the desserts were all homemade. It was excellent and was a great way to end our meal.This is a new LVI Bistro and they made a great first impression on both of us. If you're in the Locust Valley area please make some time and try the new LVI Bistro. The service, the food and the atmosphere is great for a meal with two or ten people. Total flavor bomb. Easily the best smash burger I’ve ever had.While burgers are obviously their specialty I saw wings on the menu and after tasting the quality of the burger I had to order some wings. Tossed in the buffaque sauce the wings were crispy but still tender. Had to order a churro for good measure. The 2 guys working the truck, Lucas and Sam told me about their physical location in Baldwin which I’ll now have to make a trip too. They also mentioned they do a lot of private parties and catering and I can see why. If you love food trucks or just a damn good burger the No good burger truck is highly recommended!!!!!!!!“

“I made a huge order because i was ordering for my office. The gentleman who helped me over the phone for my pick up order was very patient. I had three different orders with special instructions and all separate payments. Yes, i knew it was a lot. He kept his professionalism and grace. As soon as i was greeted by a nice lady at the register when i told her my name my order was close by being prepared. The service was fast and friendly. The gentleman who helped me over the phone let me know we were waiting for my fries and he prepared a lemonade which went with the upgrade for one of my orders. While waiting for the fries we shared a nice small talk about the great service and he let me know getting the lemonade was a better deal than the can soda because the lemonade was 20 ounces and the van was 12 ounces. The staff was great! Now to the food. I tipped in the jar because it’s a great experience. It only got better when he helped me to my car. He placed the food neatly in my car. I started with my appetizer the mini crab cakes. You get five for $10.95. They were seasoned nicely to taste and perfectly baked outside batter. May have been imitation crab meat but hey they were good! The macaroni salad that came with my pastrami Mac melt wasn’t the best. They used rigatoni noodles instead of elbow and it was dry. The Mayo was at the bottom of the cup. I doctored that up and it was okay. But boyyyyy did the pastrami Mac melt melt my taste buds! Wow is all i can say! Temperature wise the food was hot and fresh. The taste of the pastrami was so delicious and savory it went perfectly with the type of bread that was used. The Mac was cheesy and also seasoned (i noticed the pepper) went so well with the meat! Since we had a long wait, we decided on dessert. I ordered the Fried Vanilla Ice cream. It was done to perfection. My sister had the Chocolate Brownie with ice cream and caramel. The brownie was nice and warm , just enough to make the ice cream melt down the side of it.
