We've been going to Inlet Seafood every year for at least the past 6 years (less COVID). This year the reduced portions and reduced quality was unacceptable. This year the sushi portions were the smallest I've ever had from any restaurant ever! The rice was about the diameter of a pencil, all of two inches long and the fish was paper thin for the (4) pieces of sushi. My roll was about the diameter of a quarter. My wife had a pasta dish with shrimp. The shrimp were small and there were only about seven shrimp total. For appetizers my wife had baked clams (3) clams and I had a sashimi dish with (7) pieces of tuna (paper thin) with jalapeño. I had a Sapporo and my wife had a coke. Total bill was $160 including tip. I'm getting tired of shrink-flation. The prices seemed reasonable but between the portions and reduced quality we will be finding a new restaurant when visiting Montauk.

Yelp pictures made us order the tuna tartar and we're SO happy we did! I love that it was in a heart and it was sooo tasty. We waited a little while for a table but that was expected for a Friday night in the summer. You can't make reservations. We got a drink at the bar and waited outside. Lots of outdoor space and seating to sit out by the water. Very romantic! We ordered the cold lobster roll and lobster ravioli.

A great place for sushi and sunset. The food here is great, the service is good, and the food comes out fast (too fast). The sushi here is as fresh as you can get. Since 1985, the inlet fleet is responsible for 9 million pounds of seafood each year. In 2006, the restaurant was built for the purpose of bringing seafood directly from the boats to your plate. With 85% of seafood coming from overseas, they take pride in serving fish caught off of Montauk the very same day. I got the Ika Salad (marinated squid) which was very good. I did the Sashimi Platter for my main dish which did not disappoint. The ambiance is very casual and good for large groups. They do not take reservations. Waits for a table can be over an hour but it is worth the wait. The only thing I didn't like was that they brought my main dish while I was still in the middle of my appetizer.

Had a wonderful late afternoon lunch on Saturday, April 14th. Suzanna was our waitress and she was very efficient and accommodating. We tried so many dishes its difficult to remember them all. New England clam chowder, fish and chips, scallops and tuna entrees, sushi and salads, buffalo cauliflower, endamame were among the favorites we thoroughly enjoyed. We would love to make it an annual destination.

Such a great location, sunsets and storms must be amazing from this spot. I had the shrimp bisque, it was delicious. It had a lovely complex bisque flavor, not overly strong or overly thick. I ordered the soft shell crab sandwich, I should have read it more closely The batter was a bit heavy, taking away from the delicate crab. The batter was also not very flavorful. The slaw on the sandwich of julienned veggies and a vinegar dressing was delicious. My sandwich was served with fries, a smaller than normal portion. Cole slaw was also included, maybe it’s me but Cole slaw should be served cold. My partner ordered the grilled octopus appetizer. At $22 for this appetizer, I was dismayed to see a very small amount of octopus. The salad, bread and beans that accompanied it were delicious. The decaf coffee I ordered tasted old, too off taste to drink. I would go back because of the location, I think I would order my seafood less dressed.

Recommended for lovers of modern retro style, for those who enjoy beautiful views and delicious food. And after delicious food and friendly service, you can take a walk right next to the yacht club or go down to the beach!

We arrived late in Montauk Harbor in early April and needed to eat before sleeping. Most places close by were still closed for the season or not open on a weekday, even those that had never bothered to change their hours online to fake us out!! But the Inlet Restaurant showed as open so we drove the 15 mins it took to get there in the dark and took the chance. When we got there there were some cars in the lot so that was promising, but the place looked a bit dark and empty. I got out of the car and ran in - deserted! No signs that I could see as a tourist out of season but I reasoned those cars outside must be there for a reason. I found a narrow staircase and chanced going up ... and emerged into a different world ... or wooden warmth, light, conversation. So we got a table and proceeded to have a most amazing meal, beautifully prepared, layered with flavor, served by friendly and efficient staff. Delicious cocktails too. The hint of amazing views outside (it was dark outside but looking across the water to Gosman's Dock. It was expensive ($60 per head) as one would expect in the Hamptons ... but in this case absolutely worth it. We want to go back tonight! Absolutely perfect end to our long journey to Montauk Harbor! I'm guessing all the locals would know the action is all upstairs - glad we persevered to find out!

They need more staff to provide better service. Appetizers and entrées were okay, but I would say nothing really special about these. I took so long to check out at the bar and at the table. The servers saw my table and told me to wait twice, but no one came back within a reasonable time.
