I recently take out at Giovanni's restaurant in Monticello, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The overall cleanliness of the establishment left much to be desired, with noticeable dirtiness throughout. Additionally, the lack of proper cleaning standards was concerning. The pizza I ordered had a poorly cooked dough, with only the exterior receiving any attention, and it certainly lacked freshness. Furthermore, the sandwiches my companions ordered were disappointingly identical despite being different selections. The most concerning aspect was the lack of proper hygiene practices among the staff, with only the cashier wearing gloves while others handled food without any protection. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant. It was a one-time visit for me, and I have no intention of returning.

It's not going to win any awards for interior design, but if you are looking for good food look no further. The subs here are great, as is the pizza. It's a family business, and the people who run it are very nice and friendly. I have been going to this restaurant since I was a child and have never had any complaints.Vegetarian options: I believe they offer grilled cheese and eggplant parms, but if those aren't your thing there's always pizza.

Super impressed upon our first visit. We dined in and munched on a large pie topped with pepperoni, sausage and peppers. The crust held all the gooey, greasy toppings without getting soggy. They serve Pepsi products which was the only downfall for me. However I was pleasantly surprised because they do serve wine and beer. We've been going back ever since for takeout. A must try is their signature godfather. I really enjoyed the turkey with banana peppers. Their bread is freshly baked as well. If visiting Monticello or a local, this spot is definitely a favorite and must try! Service is friendly and quick!!Kid-friendliness: Video games for kids to play as well as a separate section for adults to dine

My family and I are visiting from PA. We drove a few hours to a nearby town and decided to go to Walmart for some groceries and then head to this pizza shop to grab some quick food to take back to our campground. I had searched for nearby food and it said they were open until 7. We arrived at 6:40, I know a little on the late side but I had two hungry kids who had been stuck in a car for several hours. They looked closed on the outside so I got out myself and walked in and saw people behind the counter and people sitting an eating so I went back and got my family and we all headed back inside. As soon as we all walked in together, they said they were closed. I said that it was 6:40 and that online it says they close at 7 and I have two hungry kids and the man again said they were closed and walked away while the other staff just stared at us. What an uncomfortable and unpleasant experience. After I got the kids buckled into car seats again, someone else had pulled up and they appeared to be turned away as well.

My Husband tried to call at 6:25pm, to order a to-go pizza, on a Friday, and no answer. He was just across the street, and saw they looked open. So he went over, and they told him they were closed already. The last time, we got the roast pork sandwiches on garlic bread. The sandwiches were HORRIBLE!!!Now they are closing early on a Friday.Don't worry guys, we won't be back.I DO NOT recommend this place.
