I wish they were honest about Opening time We waste our day on lunch we were there at 12:30 we received our appetizer at 2:30 and meals at 3:30 finally checked out by 4 pm. If you say you are opening at 12 o’clock it means you’re ready to serve people at 12 o’clock but it’s not nothing was prepared. Food was just OK drinks were not good. Service wasn’t good and price was too high.

Don't let these 4 stars deceive youI would give 5 stars if the portions were larger for the prices charged. But other that that...The food is AWESOME! The drinks are AWESOME! The service is AWESOME!If you have not visited yet, I suggest you do so! I had BBQ wings for a starter and the pick two and the rum punch for my entree. Food was so good, I had to take home a curried chicken and stewed chicken ??due to them being closed on Mondays...Parking: Metered parking as well as a paid parking garage in and around the vicinity of the restaurant. There is a CVS parking lot across the the street from this place, but that is a risky chance!

Where do I start? There are numerous outstanding things one can say about this fine establishment… but I’ll start by saying GO! Go grab a bite from this place as soon as you possibly can. It truly is a hidden gem. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming with a wonderful selection of music playing in the background. Our waitress, the Chef’s wife was extremely hospitable, kind, and such a radiant soul. The food was fresh, flavorful, the perfect temperature, just downright delicious! The drinks were spot on. The entire experience was above and beyond my expectations and I truly can’t wait to go back.

Found this establishment after getting some errands done and was so happy I did. The city is experiencing typical autumn weather, but the atmosphere offered a warm aura. The music made it so much better too (literally was bobbing my head to the music the whole time lol). Customer service was perfect. Head chef who is also the owner took our order and also checked on us making sure everything was okay. Really cool guy and showed love for his establishment and food he made clearly from the soul.The food was freshly made and packed with flavor. When we arrived there were no other customers being serviced so there wasn't a wait time, but I'd say head there early since seating is limited especially around dinner time (5ish is when we were heading out and there was a full house)I'd say definitely check this place out! It's a true hidden gem and deserves all the praise it can get.(All of the food was excellent, but I'd especially recommend the oxtail (falls right off of the bone) and sweet chili salmon. Absolutely delicious!)
We are locals from Mount Vernon and I’m ashamed to say it took us years to try Jungle but once we tried, there was no going back to any other takeout. We are now eating from here at least once a week. The food is so delicious and the staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly. My faves: Rasta pasta, jerk chicken and the honey glaze salmon

What a cute little gem in Mount Vernon! My hubby and I went out for a dinner and we’re truly delighted! We had plantain egg rolls which were really good, Rasta pasta (shrimp) with salmon in sweet chili sauce and Rasta pasta (shrimp) with jerk chicken and YUM is all I could say. We had banana egg rolls with grapenut ice cream and I had a rum punch and hubby had a mojito (not your average mojito). Everything was a delight, from the food to the service to the feel.**be mindful and don’t forget to bring cash as they only accept cash. Chase is down the block**

Food is reasonably priced. But it was my first time there n didn’t know what to expect. I wasn’t seated. So it was assumed that I was doing takeout. I made an order of braised oxtails, sat down. Later, it was brought to me in a takeout package. I said why would you assume that. No one asked me anything, they thought I was ordering to go. Eventually, sat down. Instead of seeing the chosen tropical drink with the bottle, I did enjoy them giving it to me dollied up in a glass. However, I didn’t enjoy the taste of the food. Maybe it wasn’t the right time for me.
