So nothing terribly wrong with this place but I would not go back. Pulled pork lacked flavor. Pork should have its own flavor. Flavor shouldn’t just come from the bbq sauce. Sauces/condiments came to the table in take away containers. Weird. Waitress kept rushing us and couldn’t be bothered explaining anything. My nachos were a disappointment. Just cheese and chili. How about some fresh tomatoes or scallions. jeez. $20 for a plain cheeseburger with fries seems pricey. I pay the same at a nice restaurant. Waitress should have mentioned that fries were extra if they weren’t included bc we ate two off the basket. Reading menus on phones sucks. Paying was also a pain. You pay through the QR code which wasn’t working bc no one mentioned that they don’t take Amex. Tried a different card that didn’t work either. Finally gave up and paid with cash.

I don't leave reviews too often, but AJ's deserves it. Excellent burgers, excellent sides and they have, by far, the coldest beer in New Rochelle. The owner is super friendly and welcoming. 5/5 stars. Come here, you won't regret it.

Chicken sandwich was really good. Perfectly constructed so that toppings aren't falling off when you take a bite. The sauce soaks into the bread without soaking through it. So good. The service was wonderful, thoughtful, prompt, and very friendly. We're looking forward to going back!Kid-friendliness: Decent kids menu options

This is in response to the review I made on 02/10/24. I sent the review before I was able to resolve the issue with AJ's Burgers. I tried to take back what was said but wasn't able too. When entering the restaurant, I was greeted with warmth and kindness! AJ came out and said hello to us as well as other guest dinning that night. Which I thought was pretty cool! I called the restaurant and spoke with AJ on 02/11/2024. I was able to explain the disappointment I experienced the night before. He was more than willing to resolve the issue and even invited me back for another visit. I rushed to judgment on the treatment of brown folks, with this establishment! Several restaurants in NY have a way of making you feel you aren't welcomed! (AJ PLEASE EXCEPT MY APOLOGY)!!!!!

Tonight was my first time actually going INSIDE of the restaurant (usually order on food delivery apps) and i was met by the nicest people who offered me drinks while i waited and even gave me fries on the house which may not be much but their hospitality was amazing. the burger was just how i like my burgers. 10/10 recommend!

I ate last night at AJ’s for the first time. We were met by a courteous staff and seated right away. Our waitress Rachel was friendly, informative and professional. She took our order right away. Our drinks and food came right away too.The food was EXCELLENT. The prices are beyond fair. The place is clean and the decor is great. The entire staff was friendly and the owner even stopped by our table to see how we were doing. He was a really down to earth and genuinely a great guy.I highly recommend this place. I didn’t go to college in the area but if I did I would make this my regular place to eat, especially after a night out. I mention this because I know there are a couple of schools in the area.I give reviews for places that deserve it. This place deserves your business and I am certain you will have the same experience I did.Joe
Plentiful and delicious dishes. AJ (The boss) came by to check on our comfort and any needs. Awesome. Very polite and very supportive of military. Excellent atmosphere and other patrons.
Amazing food and excellent service. We ordered buffalo wings, garlic rolls, a burger and brownie with vanilla ice cream. Everything was delicious.Staff were all so kind and welcoming. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant.

Great food, great workers, great owner . . . my one complaint would be that they need to go back to using paper menus. The whole "scan the QR code for our menu" thing is really annoying and you can't even access the menu from their website, a person should not have to download an app just to view an online menu. I would literally stop going there just because of this.
