“I enjoy driving long distances to try new food places specially family owned and I'm so glad I came across this hidden gem. I've been trying to find a good Jamaican food spot and I believe I finally found it. The quality of food was really good, fresh and delicious. The Mango Carrot juice I tried is so refreshing and reminds me of my childhood. The woman upfront was super helpful and explained everything that was available. The place is small but those are the best places, it's nice to get your food and take it to go. I will be coming back, Thanks!“
“I came here looking for mangoVille which was a spot i used to visit a few years back but I was pleasantly surprised that the name was changed but they served the same kind of food. The inside of the store was a bit empty probably due to the fact that I came there in the late evening but the inside was very clean and the staff was very nice and friendly. I got a small order of oxtails with rice and peas and steamed vegetables to go. The price was a bit steep at $15 but everyone knows oxtails is really expensive. I took the food back to my room poured myself a drink and I began to feast the first bite my taste buds went wild not too sweet not too spicy just right. The meal I ordered was delicious and I will definitely try other options on the menu I can definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a place for some nice Caribbean food to dine on.“
“I had my 33rd birthday event at The Loft and it was wonderful. Both the owners are knowledgeable and helpful throughout the planning process. They communicate very well and are honest. I had the best time and my guest loved the venue!! The venue is huge and can hold a large amount of guest.“
“Usually when you go to a Jamaican resturant the staff treat you like they don’t want you there, maybe because they don’t want to be there themselves. This is NOT the case at Cravin!!! The Energy is Always Pure & Positive, The Staff Greets you when you walk in, they talk to you, make jokes, etc. Sometimes my whole mood changes just from going there. THEN, theres the Food…Freakin Amazing, & It’s Consistant!! What you get on Monday is the Samething you gon get on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, etc. I’m There At Least Once or a Week ( most times more than that), it’s to the point where they know what I want lol. “I was in the area. I googled this place and I wanted to give it a try. I was very impressed with the rice and peas and shrimp which had some heat to it. Not overbearing and very enjoyable mixing it with the rice. The lady who served me was very nice and I appreciated my meal I will comeback again.“
“I think Mya's Bar & Kitchen is an underrated spot. The food and service have not disappointed me yet and the space is an overall vibe. I've gone here several times and whether it's the honey shrimp, oxtail tacos, mac and cheese as well as sorrel drinks...Mya's Bar & Kitchen brings me joy. It's a well needed spot to the neighborhood and I hope more people come out to support this place. I don't want to see it go.“
“While searching for something different for dinner, came across D'Bay and realized that Jerk Chicken would really hit the spot. The reviews were good but had some questions about sides etc so I called the restaurant. The gentleman who picked up answered my questions and I really enjoyed talking with him. He told me what he had available (plenty of Jerk Chicken and Jerk Pork, almost out of curry goat, enough for a small serving) and I placed my order with him. I drove over with my daughter, found there were two municipal lots on either end of the block he was on, so parking was easy. Ended up getting a large Jerk Chicken and a large Jerk Pork, both with rice n peas and mixed veg/cabbage and a small curry goat, with rice n peas and mix veg/cabbage. All the dishes also came with plantain. We also got a homemade sorrel juice, a homemade peach mango juice and two muffins (banana and carrot). The food was waiting there for us and the owner (the guy I spoke to on the phone) provided great customer service with a smile. I paid with cash ($58 for everything) and told him we would see him soon. The food was really tasty, with the large orders having enough for two meals. The banana muffin was good but the carrot muffin was really amazing. Overall a very good experience and we will definitely be back there again for more very tasty food.The two pics are Jerk Chicken and Jerk Pork.
