Excellent halal food. Its a bit outside the normal touristy area. But very well worth the effort of getting there.Authentic afghani food with sumptuous and juicy kababs and rice.

Went here for a quick dinner with my family. There was not any service, we were greeted by a gentleman at the front who mentioned that we could sit anywhere. As we sit, he told us that the table we chose to sit at is actually reserved even though there's no signs saying it was. I ordered the mantu - which is not on the menu - and instead of the "mantu" I got ashaak with a ball of meat as filling in the dough and got charged 26$ for it. My family ordered their beef kabob. The rice was good but the portion is really small, and the meat only comes in four small pieces. We were shocked to see this given how much we had to end up paying... for the duration of time that we were there, the "server" did not come to check on us once. He seemed to be watching a show in the corner of the room and we had to keep calling him over for things. Definitely don't recommend this restaurant for Afghan cuisine. It's giving Afghan food a bad name honestly..

Never again. I ordered Combo kabab platter, all the Kababs was burned and hard as rocks. soggy salad, rice was old. I love Afghan food this is the first time I tried this restaurant and had worse experience . Absolutely not recommending.

Delicious combination platter! Perfect quantity for one person and the quality was definitely worth going in again! Give them a try if you’re roaming around Hell’s Kitchen.

Best kebabs around. Quiet, relaxed vibes with wonderful staff and wonderfully delicious food. Clean plate club all around. :)

This was the best restaurant I ate at while visiting. I had the mixed kebab plate and this is the best Afghan rice I've had! Must try this incredible spot! Great for dine in or take out. Will be back!

so bad walked in horrible smell small place water was gross, food was not good at all the waiter was rude from the get go was screaming at one point had enough left a twenty and the barley eaten food. Not sure how they are still in buisness honestly such a rude man and while i was looking at previous revenue turns out he has a history of verbally and almost physically assaulting costumers so that speaks volumes on its own would never recommend this place.

I ate the mixed combo kabob plater. Rice was delicious and very flavorful . Vegetables were fresh. I loved the chicken kabob. Nicely grilled and moist inside. I definitely got my money’s worth. In the future I hope they grill more vegetables with the kabob (onions, peppers). Overall nice dining atmosphere.

My mouth waters to think about their food!Absolutely FABULOUS!If regular yogurt tasted like their dill yogurt dressing, I'd be skinny! Now that I'm writing about it, I should have bought a bottle!I've tried eating yogurt, but the very thought of it sickens my stomach.Even the hot sauce had flavor and wasn't too spicy but REALLY complimented... sorry; I'm salivating again!!! Even the hot sauce compliments the flavors of the food. How can their rice, chicken and beef kabobs be light yet moist, and be so flavorful?!... salivating again...I'm almost afraid to post this review, but want them to stay in business, too! When I don't feel like cooking (because I cook twice a day, EVERY DAY! That gets old!).I noticed they had a steady stream of pick up orders. And two tables filled as we were leaving. Most hospitable staff, too.If they can make yogurt taste that good, I can't wait to taste my other "dislikes" such as the pistachio pudding. My friend said it tasted so good! I don't care for pudding. I make it for others, but don't like it.Of course I ordered a plate to go. My mistake was ordering only one plate.Next time...

I wish I could give it a zero but I can’t. The food was horrible please don’t go you will be disappointed. The matu dumplings were horrible, honestly that wasn’t even mantu. Just some random dumplings with no sauce or anything. The chicken qorma was really watery I thought it was shorwa lol. So save yourself some money and find somewhere to eat.

Very tasty food. For $20 it's slightlyyyy overpriced but they have the white and hot sauce on lock which is much appreciated. Would go again for sure

Tried the Hells Kitchen location. Food was fresh, ample portions, the service friendly and attentive. Had the Kabuli pawlow with the beef kebobs, which was well flavoured, and freshly cooked (sadly, in NYC we have food that is not). For two it was reasonably priced (around $20.00-ish each plate) given the portion size. Lovely atmosphere. I am happy also to support a family-owned business, rather than all the chain restaurants that are now ruining NYC’s culture and uniqueness.

Especially considering the high prices, I would not recommend this restaurant. I went with a group and tried the combo kebab, salmon kebab, and spicy fish kebab. The courses were simple ingredients mixed together. We were hoping the meat would be the redeeming part of the meal; unfortunately, the meat was poorly seasoned. The meals lack texture aside from the store-bought salad. The white sauce is just ranch. There are much better eateries on 9th Ave for you to see. Go elsewhere! Customer service was great, though. I've read some negative reviews about one of the servers, but he was kind and respectful towards us.
