I've been going here with my best friend since 2019 (or maybe 2018? I've lost track!) and my favorite dish is the Tom Yum Chicken ramen (it's so good!) Ajisen is a small restaurant but don't let that fool you. Their ramen is the best in all of NYC. Their staff is so friendly. Every time I have guests I bring them here!

The service is super fast you order then bam the food is out. They are consistently filling up your water and keep a good eye out when you’re low.Never really having ramen before (and enjoying it), I was skeptical. I ordered the Spicy Beef Ramen and it was delicious! The meat was cooked well and the broth had a lot of flavor and it was a good level of spicy. It was nice and hot upon arrival and stayed hot by the time you finish it. The others ordered the Chicken Teriyaki Ramen. The chicken was kind of weird. The breading wasn’t your typical breading, but the sauce had a nice flavor. And then the Ajisen Ramen which is your basic ramen with pork. I’d recommend getting the spicy beef.

The server had no energy at all, and when I told him my order, he didn’t say a word. Awkward. The sushi was normal and it was expensive for little pieces. The seafood Ramen was not fully cooked. The crab meat was still a little bit cold compared to the hot overall experience was fine.

Maybe my mistake for ordering chicken taryaki at a ramen place but the chicken was very ruby and the sauce had a bittter aftertaste. The food came out quick and servers were attentive. The portions are good.
