It’s just okay. Ordered a burrrito and the tortilla was really cold, also no salsa was includedz

Be careful when ordering online here using Grubhub. The dishes are listed at a certain price, but are more expensive when you choose them for the cart because they then automatically surcharge you for queso and salsa, etc. You have to manually get rid of add ons to avoid the charges. This doesn’t happen using their website’s ordering platform. I’m sure plenty of people don’t notice this - think the place has great prices - and are confused when their bill is higher than expected.

Mehhh, honestly the food is pretty mid. Usually, when I try veganized Mexican food it’s really good, so this was a disappointment. I had their Vegan Torta and asked them to add some vegan chorizo. I love beets, so I ordered their beet salad. The Torta lacked so much taste and there was barely any cheese in it. The vegan chorizo also was veryyyyy dry and tasteless. However, the portion was good and overall I’d give the torta a 2/5.Now the beet salad was a whole other story. It was literally just big chunks of beets, big sliced chunks of onions and corn lmaooo. I was so confused! It was overwhelming and couldn’t be eaten. The server (didn’t get her name), tried to make it seem that online it has the description of what was in the beet salad. Even though I told her that when you go to their vegan website (separate than their regular website), it immediately takes you to seamless or something and that there is no description, it just says vegan beet salad. Lool she really was trying to dismiss what I saw, with what she believed and she was kind of rude too.Maybe their other food is good, but this was absolutely eck :(

Decent and fairly healthy, but not as good as the Mexican food in SF and LA at the same price or less

The food is pretty good and the prices are reasonable. The food is similar from chipotle but just a little bit better.

I ordered nachos for delivery and was actually appalled at what I received. It was stale chips with a scoop of pinto beans, salsa and UNMELTED COLD cheese shreds tossed on top. I never write one star reviews but this was beyond bad. It's great that they have so many vegan options but with quality like that, I will never order from here again.

We just had our bags checked in with them while we roamed the city for that day before our flights. Really quick process and none of our items got lost.

Good service, quick, good full burrito.

Would love to order their vegan food at the store but every time I go I'm told I have to order it online.

Food smoothies and juices are amazing and delicious! They also have a create your own option for the natural juices and smoothies.

Honestly better than most healthy Mexican places in LA.

Awesome take out! The Buffalo chicken burrito is unreal. Great price. Favorite to order on DoorDash or seamless

After spending hours this afternoon assembling chairs and a table, we wanted something quick and easy to take out for dinner. Continuing to explore restaurants in our new neighborhood, we settled on Al Horno. They're 2 blocks away! There was one in our old neighborhood that we'd never tried and I was curious. We started with, of course, guac w blue tortilla chips. Excellent guac, good kick to it, ample portion (& chips left over!). Decided to share 2 different burritos as our main dish. We chose the chicken and cactus one, and the unlikely (but hey, it's NY) falafel burrito; each of us had half of each (conveniently, they came cut). Both were delicious! I believe the tortillas were whole wheat. So the premise is "lean and healthy Mexican food.". I'd say "lean" is relative to if you had burritos in a regular restaurant, which wouldn't use low-fat pepper jack cheese and low-fat sour cream, and falafel is usually fried rather than baked (not that I've ever seen falafel in a Mexican restaurant!). Healthy, also by comparison, with whole wheat tortillas, brown rice, and everything else in the meal was fresh - the beans, avocado, etc. In summary, when we are comfortable to eat out in restaurants again, this will be a go-to for a hearty meal. And meanwhile, I called in our order and picked it up within 15 minutes. Quick and easy was what I wanted and what I got. Delicious and satisfying, cherry on top! Def recommend, lunch or dinner!

Lunch staple. Nice portions.

As a jaded New Yorker, I'd expect them to use the name "Lean Mexican Kitchen" as an excuse to skimp on the portions (particularly the meat) . I can safely say that they don't do that. The Barbacoa/Queso bowl is extremely filling - and quite tasty. I'm not sure that this would necessarily pass any "authenticity" tests, but the flavors do feel more dynamic and interesting than your typical Chipotle-esque fast casual place. And the meat and vegetable items are definitely of a high-quality. Warning that the gluten-free quesadilla doesn't seem to hold up in delivery (it's been soggy anytime I've ordered it), but it's still really tasty - and I just can't get mad given my happiness with the portions here.
