I’ve been coming to Al’s for almost 12 years! The best deli across the street from Macy’s Herald Square. Love their food… breakfast, lunch and dinner! I’m so glad they survived post-covid.Order: Turkey Bacon, Egg, and cheese sandwich with black pepper and ketchup

Their hot meals are insanely delicious. I always have their baked chicken & potatoes with rice. It’s very filling. Ample sitting area & clean restroom. Hot meals are minimum of $13, so their prices are a bit high, however, their taste of food, & quick service is commendable.

Good food, very fast service. Tables are very wobbly and no towels or toilet paper in the restroom.

They’re so attentive, courteous, have great customer service attitude, and they all are kind! I order from them daily and I get my food so fast because they all work as a team!

My friend and I were looking for some good deli food to start our day off on the right foot. I got the lox bagel and he got a breakfast sandwich and a bagel (#13 and #15). The food was fresh, the service was great, my only complaint is that I couldn't have one of everything on the menu. (I can eat a lot but I do have limits) Thanks Al's workers for making our day, especially the line cook who made our sandwiches, I'm bummed I didn't get his name. If it matters it was the guy working last Sunday the 17th late morning. Thanks all!

The cooks are very nice . The 2 lady’s today (Sunday)were so slow and did not know how to run a cashier they give no condiments or utensils, and gave me an attitude and throw my food on the counter. All the cashiers SUCK

Been coming here for six or seven years, I have NEVER once been dissatisfied with any sandwich or breakfast here. It is a Manhattan NYC Staple. Highly recommend. Short wait times even with lines out the store!!!! Consistently consistent.

I inadvertently landed to this place cuz I couldn't find the other bagel place. It looks like your typical NYC bagel shop. They have a standard menu of breakfast classics. I got a jalapeño n cheese bagel with cream cheese. I wanted nothing else.Though the dude at the counter was nice. The inside dining area was dirty. For 8am... kinda early for a place to be that dirty. So I sat down, In a little area that was clean. I saw a typed out sign that said, Spend at least $10 to sit at the table... Woooo Chile...Who would spend $10 here?!! That's tacky. This isn't a full service diner. The cashier was ok with me, but was nasty with this other customer over something d**** My bagel was decent. It tasted homemade. However, compared to Safeways bagels. Safeway wins. This place is a little like a tourist trap. Next time, I go to my bagel pit stop, a block away.
