Fantastic Night at American Cut (Especially the Service!) I had an incredible return visit to American Cut! Everything was on point this evening. The star of the show was our waiter, Russ. He provided fantastic recommendations for both cocktails and wine pairings. We also indulged in some phenomenal appetizers, with the smoked wagyu and steak tartar being true standouts. Our entrees were equally impressive, particularly the porterhouse, tomahawk, wagyu, and the decadent mac and cheese. Even though my guests and I trekked down from uptown, the experience was absolutely worth it. The entire evening was amazing, and a big shoutout goes to the manager, Joey. The ambiance was also perfect for a client dinner or night out with great friends. Finally, major kudos to Adona, the hostess, who always greets us with warmth and exceptional hospitality - a true lifesaver after a long day.

Liz was our server and she was INCREDIBLE! I truly do not have the words to describe how amazing she was. The food was just as great, as were the drinks. The ambience was also fantastic. Smoked old fashioneds, filet, tomahawk, cheesecake and pickled martini were great! Overall we had an awesome experience and will be back.

New York has an array of steakhouses and I had heard good things about American Cut so I was looking forward to visiting. However, the food and service were nothing to write home about. I will say that the ambiance is nice and several of the dishes are nicely presented. However, beyond that I was not particularly impressed, especially for an upscale steakhouse. The steak was only okay. The onion rings I had heard about were positively revolting and not at all crispy; we barely touched them which went ignored or purposely unnoticed by the server. Overall, the highlight was probably the appetizers or dessert.

It’s a solid steakhouse with a nice atmosphere. I treated my dearest friend here and had a nice dinner. Although everything was good, it was a bit well… salty for our tastebuds. Kind of felt bad when we couldn’t finish our plates, it was more like we had 80% leftover… which we had to take-out. Taste is fine! But yeah too salty and greasy to eat in one sitting? The price is reasonable. It’s better than Wolfgang for sure. I’m not sure the taste is on par with Peter Luger or Ruth Chris though ? To each their own I guess. Also I was already informed of this beforehand so just letting others know that their Medium = Medium Well. So either order the level one up or one below to get your steak perfectly cooked to your own liking.

Out of town visiting and spent last night in Tribeca… Simple things done well & Benny was great. AC was fantastic from start to finish… Food, wine list, atmosphere & try the Cracker Jack sundae ~ Novelty desert was fun way to wrap up the eveningMy Wife has celiacs and the staff was very accommodating throughout the entire meal… We knew we picked a winner when Benny showed up with warm GF biscuits!

Not a bad burger if you’re up for delivery, but dine-in leaves much to be desired. From the uninviting hostess to the stale cookies that accompanied the bill, the food and service were solidly subpar. No one checked in on us after we received our entrees, which included a textbook medium steak that should’ve been medium rare. In a neighborhood with plenty of reliable steakhouses including Wolfgang’s, Delmonico’s, Carne Mare, and others, stay away from this one.

1/30/2024 6:30pm party of 4. Arguably one of the worst dining experience I've had in years. I don't frequent this restaurant but have been here a few times in the past and it's sad to say that it come down to this. This place is definitely missing some of the most basic fundamental hospitality. I usually have high tolerance when it comes to dining out because human being do make mistakes but what I despise is a server(B.V) with an attitude. It felt like he was doing us a favor for being our server. The front house staffs should definitely be better trained. Always ask before removing plates from the table, it happened twice that they took the plates away while one of us is still working on it. When it comes to foods both our steaks were overcooked, mac & cheese was hard and dry, burger was under seasoned but the succulent lobster toast, wine by the glass choices and cocktails were highlights of the night. Shortly after our first round of drinks there was a very professional gentleman name Armand presumably one of the managers stop by to greet us but for the next two hour there was not a single staff come by our table to check on us. Everyone basically just drop the foods and leave and we literally have to flag them down for everything else and it wasn’t even a busy night. If you're charging your guests a premium price then you better give them a premium service, simple as that. On the reservation I stated explicitly that I'll pay for the tab and also kindly reminded the hostess upon arrival but the server just drop the check casually on the table at the end of the meal. Clearly lack of communication! For the other two either manager or sommelier, keep your phone in your pocket! It's very unprofessional to check it in the middle of the dining room repeatedly! Totally a front house management failure from the top and an absolutely regrettable dining experience!

Visited to look at the venue space and ended up ordering drinks and food at the bar. Everyone was extremely professional, sociable, and food/drinks were top notch.
