Chicken teriyaki was impossible to chew through in many pieces. Husbands tempera tasted delicious. By the time we got home ( northern Westchester) both of us were not feeling well. Both of us spent that night & the entire next day suffering from diarrhea. The Grade Pending sign was not displayed or we would never have gone in. Other than a cup of coffee & toast in the morning we ate nothing else except for this meal, so it was the CHICKEN!I am going to contact the restaurant health department.

Best sushi UES. Salmon avocado roll is just amazing. Always fresh. Reasonable prices. Special rolls are outstanding. Apps, salads and sides all great.

The ambiance of the place was warm and inviting, creating a very friendly atmosphere that was immediately noticeable upon entry. Attention to cleanliness was evident, particularly in the bathroom facilities, which were not only spotless but also thoughtfully equipped with hand lotion - a nice touch. As for the food, the sushi was exceptionally fresh and delicious, clearly highlighting the quality of the ingredients and the skill of the chefs.

Some of the best sushi in NYC. The Snow Crab Roll is FANTASTIC! If they had spicy tuna on fried rice, it would be THE #1 sushi restaurant in NY.

Really fresh rolls and the sushi rice doesn't bloat you up compared to other sushi restaurants.

My roommate and I LOVE coming to this place, we've been here a few times but I only took pictures of the first (we've spent ~$40 each every time). We really love their menu and their staff is really nice too, very accommodating if you want to order as you go. A neighborhood staple in my opinion!

They actually don’t even deserve 1 star They sent me the wrong order. When I called to tell them they said they wld call right back. An hour later I had to call again. Lady said she wld send me refund but I waited all week and still no refund. Customer service was HORRIBLE and I would never recommend this place ever again. Truly disappointing

We just moved to the neighborhood and were looking for a sushi spot that could become our weekly go-to. We got lucky on the first try at Amura. The sushi is delicious, reasonably priced, and super fresh. The service and atmosphere are very welcoming. Highly recommend this neighborhood spot for your sushi fix!
