It's a good date place! Food is average, I had shrimp saganaki as per the server's recommendation- didn't make the cut, the shrimp was not at all juicy. And the taste was pretty ordinary. Also, a bit overpriced.Maybe other dishes might be better.

A Greek alternative for enjoying classic Aegean specialties like Eggplant/Zucchini Chips with Tzatziki, Babaganoush Salad, and Organic Chicken. I found it a little expensive and the portion were not splendid. Service was very cordial.

The best is the location and the atmosphere of the place. The issue of the food already falters a little, it is not super excellent but the obvious thing is the quantity, they cannot charge you almost $30 for literally 5 ravioli. In short, there are surely more balanced options between quantity and price.

Apparently the chef has changed. Sauce on fish, vinegar on greek salad many things less good than last visit at least a year back. Service was good, atmosphere same.

If I could rate this restaurant ten stars, I would. We had our annual school auction at this restaurant and rented out the restaurant and the event coordinator Olga and the manager Stefano were so accommodating. They were both an absolute pleasure to work with . They both made the event absolutely seamless from beginning to end .The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and their specialty cocktails were a big hit! The venue brought back memories of eating at Mykonos at a fun, trendy, restaurant ( without having to leave the upper east side ).The event was a huge success thanks to Olga, Stefano, and their entire team! I highly recommend this venue for private parties, group dinners, and date nights.Given the number of restaurants to choose from in Manhattan , it's difficult to find one that exceeds expectations in all categories. Anassa Taverna is one of the few that I would recommend!Thank you so much for making our event so memorable ?!

Best Greek restaurant in Manhattan in the lower price range . I wish this restaurant would exist in Long Island .Delicious food .As a starter we shared saganaki. Main course Lobster Ravioli and Branzino.Dessert we had baklava ice cream with cherrys and molten chocolate cake .Food is beautiful presented and the staff is very professional.

My family have consistently visited Anassa since 2017 and we could not be happier. The food is very tasty and while the entrees hold their own, its the apps and the dessert that is true star of the show.

I had lunch here today. The food and service was good. I loved the lobster ravioli and it was a good size proportion. Also, I ordered their sangria and it came with blueberries. Sweet but not too sweet. The truffle fries were great too.

I can"t really falter the quality of the food, albeit not being the best value for your money, to put it midly...But what really pissed me off was that I was rushed off to have my meal and every 10 minutes, I kept bring harassed to buy more drinks.. this is NOT a way to run a restaurant or a chain of restaurants...I was going to ask for deserts and probably for a coffee and a liquor on top of my meal..but as they were rushing me, I said stuff it, to myself..I was not prepared to part away with my money with ephemeral cowboys in the business..I've run myself a number of restaurants in UK & the Netherlands and I happen to know a thing or two about quality of service and treating your customers with respect and more importantly building links with them...I strongly suggest people who contemplate visiting this chain of restaurants, to think again.. unless of course you wanted to be treated like sheep...I'll never bother visiting again here, or in any other of the restaurants in the same chain...fair is fair..

We came for a work lunch. The food was great. The service was very good for a group that was supposed to be only 6, then quickly jumped to 10 at the last minute. They were very accommodating for the last minute change during a very busy lunch service.
