Took my boyfriend here on a date and we had an amazing time. Anthony, the pasta instructor/chef, was amazingly funny and made the pasta class fun. The food was delicious and we can’t wait to cook the pasta we made. Price was great for everything it included.

My friend and I went to Aunt Jake’s for their pasta making experience. It was incredible — the value, the food, the atmosphere, the lovely staff… all of it! Jeff was our teacher & server and was so amazing and friendly. SO worth it. I could not recommend this place enough. Intimate, fun, and friendly, with a price point that truly can’t be beat.

We did the pasta making experience and it was WORTH EVERY PENNY AND MORE!!!!!!!! The class was beyond fun, super informative and lead by friendly and fun staff! The food was incredible and we enjoyed all of our drinks! Super hard to get a reso for the class but if you see a spot open grab it, you will not regret it (plus an unbeatable price)!!

What a fun experience at Aunt Jake’s! The instructors and servers were super friendly, and we got to take home three different pasta shapes and a ball of dough to make pasta with later. After making our pasta, we got to enjoy a three course meal which was overall very tasty! For $55 a person, what a great deal and a fun date night! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a new experience!

TLDR; worth the price and experience with friends$55pp w/ 3-course meal and $10 deposit (increasing to $60 on 4/1). The earliest available booking was 2 months out! Our class was 7:45pm slot but we didn’t start until 8:30. Actual eating didn’t start until 9:30!!The class consisted of 28 people around a long table in the middle of the restaurant/dining area. Guests who took the earlier class were eating next to us. Each party was lined up horizontally so you could only really interact with the person to the right or left of you. I think it should be set up that your party is divided across the table. The 2 staff members take your dinner orders before the class begins for the 3-course meal. Although we were the first to arrive, we were the last to get our orders taken; as a result, our wine arrived halfway into the pasta-making class. The instruction was fun!! We learned how to knead dough. Later, we are given 2 large sheets of pre-prepared dough to make bowties, garganelli, and fettucine. You take your uncooked pasta home in a box. It will last 2-3 days in the fridge. The pasta for the main course is made in-house downstairs by a gentleman named Pedro. Pedro also helps with the handy work around the restaurant (he built the pasta-making table himself!). Anyways, the portions to the appetizers and main dish are HUGE. I would recommend ordering different dishes so you can share amongst the table. All the dishes were actually pretty good. My favorite was my friend’s chicken parmigiana. The carbonara was creamy but also very heavy (plenty to bring home!) The donuts were freshly made and the dipping sauce was tasty too!Overall, I was very happy with the experience (minus the tardiness to the start time and late service) and would highly recommend!

This is my favorite pasta place on the upper east side by a mile. This used to be downtown but they moved up here and I’m so thankful. Pasta always a perfect al dente. Rigatoni a la vodka always very rich and flavorful. They offer pasta making classes too. You can mix and match your favorite pasta style and sauce and it’s all hand made pasta.

I've eaten at Aunt Jake's twice now, once without the pasta class and once with it. I'd highly recommend taking the class. Anthony was great and taught us step by step how to make several pasta shapes. We had so much fun, we've started making it at home! Calamari was delicious and light and crispy. Kale Caesar was eh, could've been massaged more. Meatballs were almost the highlight of the meal, if not for the lasagna and tagliatelle taking the win. Delicate, light, and fresh. Lovely.

Pasta is solid but they’re definitely focused on the pasta class right now and don’t have much room for regular tables/walk
