Their patisseries are amazing, the croissant melts in your mouth and the little merenges are to die for specially the Caramel one. Coffee is very average. Sitting is limited and by the window so it may get hot depending at the time you visit.

The pastries are very unique and SO tasty! The owner is also very friendly and nice. The shop has a very cozy vibe to it and is great for a quick stop by!

03.37.24The worst croissants in New York City.Cafe Boulud and Supermoon Bakehouse have the best.Even the South Korean multinational chain owned Paris Baguette is better than this place.

I wrote this review in early Nov. 2023and yikesss... these pastries are sent to the store guys. that is why they aren’t fresh or good they are cold from long distance travel. it is a shop that sells pastries but isn’t a legit bakery! Hahaha that’s what you get with your ageism! & untrained unprofessional staff! it’s not my age it’s y’all are sneakily! that chocolates stick in crossiant? looks crazy. please melt it! Always believe the bad reviews! that’s when they got caught off guard! any day.“They be like act busy, look busy!”ahahahaha hahahahahahahahahaI went in for an interview at this place that was scheduled through email with the manager, she asked if I could please come in at 9am. When I arrived her employee came upstairs to offer me a drink, I felt like the Empress I am and was pleased they treated me such way. The manager arrives about 5-10mins, she was an older woman probably 40 over and she explained the job details to me and then had her female ‘baker’ employee (not really Bakery as everything is sent over to them stated & not made in-store but rather packaged & unpackaged) She interviews and when I spoke of wanting to learn how to take a bread making class using spelt flour, I was quite presently speaking normal like “yeah I want to do this someday..” she says “I’m sorry, how old are you?” I stated i’m 30. She says “Ok..haha. Ok so yeah i’m sure she said she’ll get to you if you are chosen” and immediately pushes chair out and gets up. She walks and asks “Is there anything you would like to try?” heading down steps. I say hmmm what would you suggest?” (I ask this to see if she’s a genuine person and to see if she really cares) She says hmmm I like the SUGAR Croissant.”……This man didn’t create crossiants….Why would you suggest that?…..I believe we all know why. These places take out loans to pay for these milk desserts and pretend that they’re giving great hospitality and care. He came from France to NYC and you’re representing a crossiant? Now I see why they want younger people to join rather adults because they’re easy to manipulate that’s one and two because they know they’re a scam and can get scammed. They are not kind-hearted and rather “nice”. As an Aquarius moon, who is the alien of the zodiac and cares for their Community, it’s very interesting seeing in action how humans treat eachother :) yikes. Have fun giving your money to this shady business!!

The one in Toronto is much nicer. Better decor. And, they give you actual plates and a fork or spoon to eat your desert. Sheesh.

The baby merengues are always incredible. They do not warm the croissants which at first was bumming, but they’re actually really great.

Came here with my friend because she told me she loved the Merveilleux at this place. I have never tried Merveilleux before, but I was excited to give it a shot. Bonus points for the great service and kind cashier here! Chocolate Merveilleux - It was a creme covered meringue, but the textures and flavors were so complimentary. The chocolate was rich and surprisingly, not too sweet. Overall, I would definitely come back and try their other flavors!

Butterfli House

The best chocolate croissant that I’ve ever had.

So delicious! The croissants are super fresh. Try the chocolate!! You won't be disappointed. Service was quick and friendly. Very cute spot- I think they have seating upstairs but It wasn't open when I was there. Must try, you won't be disappointed!

Bought an espresso and almond croissant. The place is well decorated without being ostentatious. The baking on site is nice to see (you can peer into the kitchen) and shows in the end result. The espresso is a perfect medium - balanced floral, citrus, smoky and chocolaty tones. The almond croissant was crispy on the outside and progressively pillowy on the inside with a delicious buttery almond spread. The variability in textures was nice as most places only achieve one of the two. Anyway, I think most people will like this place - though it'd be pricey as an everyday stop. It's very different than Lou The French on the Block in Burbank, CA but it's the closest in terms of goodness I've tried in New York. If you've been, you understand.
