LOVE THIS PLACE. The food is amazing and the ambiance is beautiful. Bonus points for having an incredible lunch special. This is one of my favorite restaurants. So excited for the weather to warm up so I can join them in their beautiful outdoor setup!

I had a terrible experience at Avra. I called twice to address an urgent matter but received no response from the management team. This lack of communication is highly disappointing and unprofessional.Furthermore, I ordered the tuna tartare during my visit and unfortunately got food poisoning afterward. This was a serious health issue that should not have occurred. I expected better food safety standards from a restaurant of Avra's reputation.Overall, I am extremely dissatisfied with the lack of response from management and the food quality, leading to a negative and unpleasant dining experience.

Went here for a weekday business dinner. Everything was good from the food, to our numerous and very responsive servers. We had the grilled octopus and tuna tartare, followed by my main course - the wagyu ribeye, which was the star of the evening. Ambiance was good, quiet enough to have a conversation, but still lively. Will return.

Great service, great food and great ambiance. Our waiter, Vladimir, was fantastic. Very attentive and made great recommendations. All three courses were wonderful. Highly recommend.
Their prix fixed lunch on the weekends is a great deal for lunch. You need to have reservations especially at this location. We had to sit outside and our seat heat lamp was broken and the light at our table was broken so that took away from the ambiance.
Parking: Meter parking ends at 7 pm on Madison Ave. So we made our reservation for 7:15pm. We arrived at 6:30 and found a spot on the same block and then waited in the car until 7pm.Kid-friendliness: We didn't have kids in our group, but I saw 4 young kids at the restaurant that evening. I wouldn't suggest this restaurant for children as prices for each dish are pretty high for a child's appetite. Of course, this will be different for every family.
