Our four-course meal was spectacular. Please visit them before they close in a few weeks. The service, atmosphere, and presentation are second to none. I highly recommend enjoying this spectacular experience before it's gone!

Sublime as always - some new delicious items on the menu. The asparagus appetizer was innovative and v good. The FOH staff are always on point, It's nice to see the same faces most restaurants l go to regularly have a high staff turn over - Batard is a pleasure.

I come here every two months or so and it's consistently the best restaurant in NYC. From the warm welcome from Deshi to the on point cocktails and always seasonal and amazing food. The service makes this place exceptional. I Always feel special and taken care of. The GM Paolo goes above and beyond to take care of everyone, watching the room is quite a show. The value is great for exquisite everything. Thank you Batard for always delivering. See you soon.

Wonderful attention and service from the entire staff. Welcoming and warm room and ambiance. Food was terrific and was paired well to delicious wine. All together lovely dining experience. Wood return again!

Romantic, high-end restaurant that costs an arm and a leg. They have a great drink selection; they even have mocktails! The heirloom tomatoes are really flavorful paired with the cheese spread. The main courses are also cooked to perfection. The desserts are the star of the show; the rose vacherin is cloudy and tastes like a rose garden. This is an excellent place for a luxury dinner, but one should watch their wallet here.

Exceptional dining experience. Perfect atmosphere! Waitstaff was incredible, food was sensational, cooked to perfection (steak and duck). A+++ 10/10 Finished off with amazing coffee and dessert (olive oil cake and sticky toffee. Attention to detail is noticed from everything done inside of this restaurant. Will be back again and again.

Well curated menu where they do almost everything exceptionally well. Pate de campagne was excellent, and not the slapped together disjointed excuses for pate I've had elsewhere. Hamachi was fresh and delicately flavored. Bread was fresh baked and wonderful. Entrees were generous and exquisitely prepared. The pork was outstanding -- tender and moist with a richly flavored sauce. The duck was equally tasty, with a great spiced skin. Chocolate pistachio brest was a glorified eclair -- ok but not special. Luckily the sublime cheese course more than made up for it, with great goat and sheep recommendations from our very able server. Only disappointment was the trophy wine list which was meant more for admiring than ordering. Very few reds under $100 (i.e. less than 5% of the list) and the one we got was fine but not close to worth the three digit tag. Stick to cocktails and glasses unless someone else is paying. Wine aside, a great, leisurely, well paced evening with fine service and terrific food.

Dinner last night at Batard was brilliant again! Pairing of the lump crab with the innovative foie gras preparation as appetizers, followed by the Dover Sole and the Cape Cod Scallops was just absolutely perfect. I cannot cook a scallop like this; it was outstanding. It helps that the staff understands what the Chef is thinking as he prepares the various dishes and what combinations of food dishes would complement each other. Our waiter Jed is adept at explaining the Batard menu and we always like to discuss menu items in detail with him before ordering; we have never been disappointed which is why Batard is our favorite NYC restaurant. The Batard wine list is outstanding!!! Ask Robert to recommend a bottle of your favorite type of wine for its quality drinking above its price point; you will be pleasantly surprised. If we could only eat in one NYC restaurant, it would be Batard, which gives one the complete fine dining experience. Dr. K

Went for my wife's birthday and we were very happy with our experience. Food was prepared and presented wonderfully. Service was excellent with an appropriate level of attention. All in all it was a great night out!

It was so bad it became a joke. Rude waiters (but a nice and smiley busboy), over one hour and 15 minutes wait between appetizers and entrées with no apology from the manager, and an absolutely uninteresting food (I took the crab with tasteless meat and too pungent sauce, and the exact same comment for the pork). It is a mystery to me how they could keep a star. Last trivial detail. No toilet seat in the only toilet. I was broken!

The food was delicious, beautifully presented, but lacked something...Service was very good, but rather stiff especially since the restaurant has a relaxed feel. The ambiance is somewhat hip, but one-dimensional: it seemed unfinished. The wine list is out-of-this-world! Largest, most extensive we've seen. Would recommend with those comments.

Overpriced for the quality - not remotely comparable to other Michelin-starred restaurants I have eaten at. Some good dishes, but some merely “fine”. None were outstanding. Our server was over the top in a theatrical and corny way that detracted from the dining experience.

Crescent duck, amish chicken, duck pate, cured salmon, and manchego cheesecake. So much perfection in so little time. Thank you for the excellent table on Christmas Eve. It really made our evening special. I couldn't have thought of anything more perfect than my meal at Batard. Michelin star well earned.

Dinner at Batard in New York City is a classic experience. It is basically a French burgundy restaurant and for the most part 95% of the wine list is French burgundy which is one of the main reasons we went. Our 1st dishes were Russian caviar and Country pate both excellent and paired with a Chassange Montrachet from the Drouhin vineyards. We also had classic duck and Dover Sole that were perfectly prepared and further prepared at table side. We were pretty full so passed on dessert though the dessert menu looked good. We were pleased with our meal understanding that it was very expensive. In general you can't go to a top restaurant in New York and get a bottle of wine under $250, there are a few but truly most ones that you would want are gonna be about $250 regardless of where you go which adds to the bill. Batards prefix menu was reasonably priced the only reason we had a higher bill is that we pretty much ordered everything with a supplement.. I recommend Batard and would go back.

Batard was a lovely experience, even though some of our dishes didn't impress. The decor is impressive, the service professional, and the overall vibe was welcoming. I'd recommend Batard if you order the duck, the sole, and risoto. The wine selection is excellent.
