My second time to Bad Roman and I was impressed once again by the food and the service. The decor is fun. It is always packed for dinner. The noise level is low. Every dish is terrific and I cannot wait to return. The filet mignon meatballs are the best ever! Khalil was a terrific servers and well as the rest of the staff.

Great ambiance and setting, good service, mediocre food that's not worth the price tag. I would return but I'm not running back and it's not easy to get a reservation to begin with.

The service from the hostess to the wait staff to the bussers is excellent. The food is amazing. I've been multiple times and Bad Roman is definitely one of my favorites in the city. I'll be back again and again!

We had high expectations for Bad Roman from the online reviews, but on the overall, we were quite disappointed. The food was average, a quite unimaginative take of traditional Italian fare. Flavors were weak, no attempt to present the food in an appealing way. The decor is colorful and appealing, but the place is really overpacked, projecting a fast food vibe more than that of an upscale restaurant. Appreciation to the one waiter who compensated for the overall dinner disappointment by being attentive and responsive.

Absolutely stunning meal early Saturday before a show. Each item we ordered was really great, especially the black truffle burrata. Pull apart eggplant was so good (ditch the sauce - that was literally the only thing we were ehh over). Spicy Cesar salad- BOMB. We each got pasta they were all perfectly made. My favorite was the short rib papardelle. Deserts were also fab. Lemon cheesecake shaped as lemons- wow. I wish I remembered our servers name bc he was outstanding. Super knowledgeable about the menu pairing, good wines and cocktails. 100% on point. Knew we were going to a show so made sure we had our bill timely w/o rushing us. A plus.

Bad Roman is a very festive atmosphere. It is usually very crowded, popular with many different groups of people, which is nice since it is not a homogenous crowd but one that is eclectic and interesting. The food is excellent, and the service is typically good with some exceptions. Because it is a popular spot, being seated in the main dining area can be problematic and the host/hostess that greet you take a significant amount of time deciding where to seat your party. This results in an arrival into the restaurant that is not relaxed and welcoming but fraught and disorganized.

Since Bad Roman opened the last year, it has been our favorite restaurant. My husband and I go to the restaurant for date night or to celebrate things with our friends. Always amazing vibe, gorgeous deco, delicious food and especially the wonderful service. Each single person at Bad Roman provided us the best dining experience but there is a very special person and her name is Celeste. Celeste was our server when my husband and I went to Bad Roman the first time and she treated us as if we were VIP. Since then whenever we returned the restaurant and when she found out we came, she always dropped by our table and gave us a special treatments with warm greeting. In this wonderful New York City, there are so many restaurants to try each weekend night, but time after time, we choose to go back to Bad Roman weekend night to relax with good food because the service at Bad Roman is consistently wonderful. My husband and I thank to Celeste from bottom of our hearts for her amazing/ sweet/ kind service.

I changed our reservation many times as our group size increased to 7 even up to several hours before our scheduled time. We were accommodated without any problems. We ate well with drinks and dessert and went home with leftovers for <$100 per person. Our server was outstanding. Highly recommended!

The food was so amazing! Ate the rigatoni and chocolate tart. Would def recommend. I also tried a bite of the short rib papardelle and Caesar salad and those were also super tasty. Our server Namik was the kindest ever. Some of the best service I have ever had!!!

Great atmosphere, service, view, and food. We were comped a dessert just because the waitress wanted us to try it. Steak was delicious. Short-rib tortellini dish really works. Lemon cheesecake is everything its billed to be. Cocktails were delish and generous. Happy we had a date night here before heading off to theater.

Had rave reviews from friends. The appetizers and dessert certainly lived up to expectations (highlights were the black truffle honey ricotta, garlic babka, and the lemon cheesecake)Unfortunately the pasta was very mediocre. Undercooked “penne” was very disappointing. Perhaps you’ll have better luck ordering another dish.

Bad Roman is SO fun. It has the perfect balance of any experience. Take your out of town friends for dinner after a show at Lincoln Center, go for a birthday celebration, or just go for a great meal! The food was great, service was even better, the vibe was on point. You MUST get their Wedge Salad, Porchetta Ribs, and the Lemon Cheesecake. Everything we had was recommended by our server.. lastly, we were too full for dessert at the restaurant, so they packed it to go, it survived the whole way home, and was BEAUTIFUL, and close to the best cheesecake I've ever had. I also love that Bad Roman is in the mall! It was cold when we went, it was nice to be inside before we went inside, inside.

So impressed by Bad Roman. The food was amazing and the service was phenomenal. We had the pleasure of sitting in Humberto's section and he was fantastic. He was so knowledgable about the menu and made great recommendations. I can't wait to go back!

Restaurant was very understaffed for a very busy lunch time on a race day in the city. We waited 2 hours for our entries (we just got pasta and salad) and our waitress only checked on us a few times. The food was OK but not worth the wait. The cocktails were tasty and the atmosphere was beautiful. Overall it was over rated.
