After having a fun girls dinner half of my 12 friends got very very sick for 3 days from eating their raw oyster selection. They have to be better at checking raw seafood. Definitely not going back

Drinks and service were good. Salmon came uncooked and Burratta skin was extremely thick and was most of cheese served (and probably old, not very comestible). Tuna tartar toast was burned

Truly a gem. The staff is very strong, the food is always top notch and drinks are delicious! Absolutely love the holiday decor and the cozy but spacious vibe. Will be back again and again!

This is a cute spot for a holiday get together. The service is good and they have a lot of great shareable apps. The oysters are great as well as the brussel sprouts, onion soup, quesadilla and the brussel salad. They have a wide variety of cocktails as well.

Cute little spots in west village. They have live music on Sunday nights.

Lovely experience. We arrived at an off time yet had service like it was the rush. We got cocktails and an appetizer. Service was friendly. Sign is small off the street, look for the basement location. Holiday decor was hung with care during our visit. Adorable.

Made a dinner reservation 2 months in advance. Showed up and it was closed! Scrambled for dinner elsewhere as we were from out of town.

I was paying for my bill when a giant COCKROACH fell from the ceiling onto my arm and then onto the table. I told the waiter and he didn't even apologize, let alone comp any of my meal. This was one of my favorite restaurants but I will not be returning after this traumatic experience. I hate to leave a review and bash an entire restaurant. I understand sometimes roaches are unavoidable in NYC, however I would have expected the staff to at least be apologetic.

Food is SO good! We had the lobster taco, the tuna tartar, lamb chops, strawberry salad and the filet. Everything was a home run, only complaint was that the portions are a little small (particularly the lobster tacos) but thats only because we wanted more of it, it was so good!!

Cute place I wanted to like. The yellow fin tuna nacho was tasty, but unfortunately that is where my positive experience ended. The restaurant was severely understaffed and unable to adequately serve the 2 tables in the restaurant. The same poor woman was the bartender, hostess, and server.None of the food was paced out. I was served nachos then a salmon entree, then 5 minutes later a bean dip appetizer. The salmon and tuna tartare were incredibly fishy, and the bean dip tasted like it came out of a package. The chips that came with the tartare were undeniably stale. The skinny margaritas were not skinny and loaded with agave/sugar.I wanted to enjoy this neighborhood spot, but it missed the mark. I do not recommend.

I have stumbled across Bell Book & Candle twice with friends — such a good experience both times. The menu is great and I love the secluded space.

Magically scrumptious and fresh food! I used to pass by this place all of the time and never thought to go in. On the outside it looks quiet, but when you go inside the positive energy is amazing. Everything was freshly made and my steak was so delicious! Service was excellent and courteous as all of the staff made sure everyone in the restaurant was well taken care of.It’s a charming and quaint location where everyone goes to have a great and relaxing time. I would definitely be back.

I got the sesame crusted yellow fin tuna and I would not recommend it. It was supposed to be medium rare but came out well done to the point that the sesame was totally burnt and every bite tasted bitter. There was also a generous amount of soy sauce drizzled over the brown rice and asparagus so that it was all very salty. The only dish I enjoyed eating here was the bean dip.
