Prime that doesn't exist in Japan. The staff, the space, and the food are all great. The variety of wine is also at an unbelievable level.I think this can only be experienced in New York.

Let me start by saying this was the worst "high end" restaurant that I've ever been to. The staff was rude and inattentive, food was lacking flavor, and the whole experience was lack luster. We had terrible service by the waiter. Perhaps our attire was too casual for them or maybe it's because we were a table of only females. I would not normally think that, but we were definitely not treated the same as the two tables near us. The drunken table behind us, full of men in suits and women in skimpy dresses, seemed to be treated just fine and so did the techy solo man seated next to us. Just as one example, the waiter brought us tap water and did not offer anything else; a bit later he asked the man next to us if he'd like tap water, bottled water, or anything else to drink. That man's food also came out almost immediately, while ours took an extremely long time to come out. The waiter had an attitude and rarely came around to check on us, acting like everything was a bother. The setting was very unwelcoming and uncomfortable. Not sure what the problem was (sexist or classist) but it is unacceptable for a restaurant of this cost to act that way. Additionally the food needed more seasoning and it was very unimpressive for the price. The fish was also not cooked how I ordered it... and it was cut up, so there should not have been any confusion with the cook level. Please don't waste your money here.

The food was 10/10, we ordered the ribeye and it was delicious. I would rate the service 1/5 because the waiter kept pushing us to order more food and also pressured us into tipping higher that we wanted to. He directly asked if we wanted to tip a certain percentage, which was agressive.

Very good steakhouse in Manhattan, good list of wines, service ok. Location has a simple design, acceptable noise, so it's good to talk.

Benjamin Prime in NYC is a standout in the city’s crowded steakhouse scene, blending impeccable service with top-tier cuisine. The restaurant’s atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between upscale sophistication and a welcoming, intimate vibe, making it ideal for both business dinners and special occasions. The steak, the undeniable star of the menu, is cooked to perfection, offering a range of cuts that satisfy both traditional and adventurous palates. Beyond the steak, the menu features an array of sides and starters that are equally impressive, demonstrating a commitment to quality and flavor across the board. The staff’s attention to detail and proactive service elevates the dining experience, ensuring that every visit is memorable. And for a truly special end to your meal, the affogato is to die for, blending the rich warmth of espresso with the cool creaminess of ice cream in a way that’s both luxurious and comforting. In summary, Benjamin Prime is a must-visit for steak aficionados and anyone looking to enjoy a top-notch dining experience in NYC.

Incredible dining experience. Came here during restaurant week and took advantage of the pre fixe menu options. We ordered burrata and caesar salads. We ordered steaks which were all cooked perfectly to the requested temps. The meal was finished off with raspberry cheesecake which was spectacular. The wait staff were impressively attentive, and prepared the steak for everyone when it came out of the kitchen on a sizzling plate.Couldn’t have asked for a better meal to wrap up our trip to the city.

I've eaten here a few times over the years, it's close to my husband's office, but this time I wanted to impress my friend who was visiting from California. She's a chef so she knows what to look for. Benjamin's did not disappoint. She said it was the most tender steak she ever had. The service was so good and the sides were delicious as well. As a "local" I will always recommend this restaurant to visitors and ofcourse to other locals as well!
