I went to Chelsea market as per recommended by a friend. Landed this restaurant where they have a huge sign that says LUNCH. Picked my protein, I chose BEEF and what they give you is 6 or 7 pieces of garbage sausage with a lot of ketchup and curry and a bread. I ordered water and chips and got charged over 18 usd. It wasn't lunch and it wasn't beef. Scammed and pissed. The way they treat is good though, that's what they be selling you.

A bit difficult to find. But great food. Came across the restaurant by chance. As a German, I can only say the Leberkäse was great. Definitely recommended.Unfortunately there are only limited options for eating there. We then sat on the floor on the side. But it wasn't bad, the food was delicious ?Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible with wheelchair

Finally got to try this place! Sometimes it's open, sometimes it's not. Honestly a hit or miss Workers are nice, food comes out quick. Menu is easy to read. No seating for their place but there is seating around Chelsea market and outside. Restroom is downstairs Got the pork and cheese brat on a bun with sauerkraut and mustard and a side of fries. It's was sooo good! You can really taste the cheese and it was a decent size meal! The bun was soft and good amount of sauerkraut and mustard. The fries were so addicting and good! If anything, get the fries!

The restaurant is nice, and the food is good. However, as a German, I couldn't help but notice that the currywurst seemed to be a standard Bockwurst with sauce, and the Nürnberger wasn't quite authentic; it appeared to have been cooked on only one side.

We ordered the chicken and apple sausage as well as their pretzel and it paired so well with the drinks we got from the bar inside the same area! Definitely recommend. ? ?

Speaking as a German, this is similar as you would eat it in Berlin / Germany. Delicious sausage, sauce which has just a touch of spiciness and a typical tasty German Pretzel.Choice of beer is outstanding - even time restricted Oktoberfest beer is available.Wanna enjoy some German eat and drinking culture in NY. Come here.

My search for authentic Currywurst continues, despite finding Berlin Currywurst. Berlin Currywurst is the best Currywurst I have had in NYC by a fairly wide margin, but for those seeking the real deal, reminiscent of Currywurst experienced in Berlin or elsewhere in Germany, your search will continue. It's not here. Berlin Currywurst is in the bustling Chelsea Market and the experience is greatly enhanced by the myriad of offerings and people in the Chelsea Market, particularly if you're there on a weekend afternoon. They have some German beers on offer in bottles and cans and a few beers, US and German on tap. Service is as friendly as can be when so many people are there. The Currywurst is served with a nice piece of bread and the Wurst is a decent portion. Fries are extra. The Wurst is about ten and the beer about five. So you're paying a bit for the Chelsea experience. The sauce is fortunately not as cloyingly sweet as I have experienced elsewhere in the City. Fortunately, they have a decent sausage with which to work and all of this will strike someone who has never had the real deal as quite good. If you've had the real deal, neither the Wurst or curry sauce will meet your expectations. Upgrade the Wurst and boost the curry would be my recommendation. If there is one note of authenticity, it is they serve it on a cardboard container with the small wooden fork and most people will find it satisfying, but as some have noted, it is not worthwhile to come here if that is your sole reason for coming to the Chelsea Market or you are coming from a distance. Good effort and three stars.
