Enjoyed the Poke Bowl enormously and my companion was very happy with her caprese salad. Only one small gripe. Do you really think diners should be forced to endure sloppily dressed people—particularly men in jeans—at a place where we pay $200 for lunch? I don't. Thank you for letting me vent.

Always happy to enjoy lunch at BG when in NYC. I am usually solo and yesterday introduced two fellow Bostonians to the experience. They vow to visit again. Love the rooms, service is friendly and smooth, menu has so many options and the quality of food is always fabulous. My personal favorite items are the deviled eggs and chicken salad. The plate of cookies was perfect to share as we savored the last of our wine. Kudos to the team!

Our experience was wonderful. I met my childhood friend from California and she loved the view of Central Park. The food was amazing I had deviled eggs as an appetizer and for the main course I had Lobster Salad. My friend had Ahi Tuna for appetizer and Scallops with mushroom ravioli out of this world. For dessert we had the Strawberry shortcake with cappuccino and espresso. The decor and the service was excellent. We will be back soon. Thank you all so much.

Quintessential tea time indulgence! Wonderful for a place to meet up with a good friend and catch up on the nicety New York City has to offer. The tea was terrific, champagne bubbly, little sandwiches sampled. We just visited Tiffany Store , a flagship store exquisitely revamped. A day for the six senses.

I recently had brunch at BG in Bergdorf Goodman, which was a pleasant experience. The setting is retro-elegant, with seating by the window that offers dual delights: one of us enjoyed the view of Central Park, while the other admired the stylish Kelly Wearstler-designed interior. I chose the shrimp cocktail to start. My friend chose the truffle chicken sandwich, and I had the grilled chicken salad for our mains. Both of us enjoyed our choices. I recommend stopping in and eating at BG whether you are a local or visiting from out of town.

The chicken salad was really mediocre. Rotisserie chicken thrown on some wilted lettuce with a radish and maybe some cheese. What a shame. I had said it was my daughter in law's bday so thank you for the complimentary cookies but overall, please improve your food.

High hopes for the tea service but EXTREMELY disappointing. The sandwich bread was dry, the sandwiches were not properly filled and most were misshapen. i.e., one sandwich was substantially smaller and had a tiny spec of brie. None were properly filled. To add insult to injury, the scones were bone dry. None of us were enticed by the dessert selections and didn't touch them. We were told the entire table had to order the tea service but the table next to us, one person had tea and one had a regular meal. I would NEVER recommend this tea service. On a positive note, the menu items (served around us) looked delicious.

Very iconic establishment. The ambiance and service were great. The food was not very good. The tea service food tasted pre made and not fresh. I was very disappointed in the quality of the food served. Not worth the hype. I would skip for afternoon tea.

Serving excellent. Salad a little dry and crab cake a little overcooked. The Apple tart delicious. Overall experience delightful and has been for the past thirty years that we have eaten there. Indeed the lunch there is one of the highlights of our trip to NYC. Emilia and Mark Mandel

Ambiance is great and beautiful space. The food is nothing special. If you want a great meal Don't go there but if you want a lively scene it's a great choice. I wouldn't recommend overall.

BG is such a great restaurant. When we come to New York, we always go there. Great for lunch but also wonderful for an early dinner. Everything is just very very good. Highly recommended.

Loved the ambience and the service (5 stars), but the food was lacking. The pulled chicken salad had no flavor and the pot pie was watery and undercooked. I have been to the restaurant a number of times and always had good food, but today's lunch was not good.

Beautiful and elegant. It got very busy the day I was here. I called the day before and was able to get an 11:30am reservation. Our waiter was lovely and helped our table choose the food we ordered. The restaurant is decorated in high tea style. I do wish there had a better selection of breakfast items on the menu. No pancakes, crepes or French toast. I ended up getting lobster bisque and a crab cake. Both were delicious but. It really "breakfast" food. I also ordered a mocktail. The price point didn't seem too high and I really enjoyed my time. I could have dinned longer but when I saw the line they were getting for people waiting to sit and eat my friend and I decided to get up, pay our bill and leave so someone else could enjoy the table. I hope to return soon.
