Ordered the filet and it was overcooked severely. No one checked in to see if it was cooked to my liking.

This restaurant exceeded my expectations. My husband and I were looking for something romantic with a good atmosphere and good food and that’s exactly what we got. The service was some of the best I’ve had in the city and every bite was delicious. The best thing we had was the side of bacon which for some reason was unreal delicious. The martinis came chilled and perfectly made to our wants. We will definitely be back again soon.

This place is the best dinner I've had in New York, and I've lived here for 8 years. The restaurant is perfectly lit, super old school New York vibe. We came here for Valentine's Day and the Martinis did not disappoint. They are chilled and fantastically made. Do not miss out on the bills bacon side... it is insane something you would come back for again and again. The mains were all delicious and somehow we made room for dessert. Great service and will definitely be back soon.

The restaurant is okay. My friend and I came here and ordered a few small appetizers (fries, wings, dessert) and four drinks. Our total was $163 with tax. We asked for a dark and stormy and what was served was a drink that included a light rum and grenadine instead of dark rum and ginger beer. They didn't bother to tell us until after it was served that they didn't have the two key ingredients of the drink. The fries were just okay (we ordered only the salt/vinegar but they served and charged us for the plain as well), and definitely not worth $24 for the portion and flavor of the two. The spinach and artichoke dip was decent but not amazing and a bit pricey at $17. The $18 wings were okay but overly sauced and a small portion. The dessert was flavorful and probably the best part of the meal. I probably wouldn't come back.

Great spot to host a small get-together. We came here on a week night and it was packed. Staff were friendly and drinks were great. Will have to try the food here next time.

Heard about Bill's being back. The famous brownstone built in the late 1800's became a great restaurant and famous drinking spot 100 years ago in 1924. Bill's is like going back in time and it's AWESOME!The after work bar vibe was hip and fun with a great music selection. We went upstairs to the dining room and my wife and I had a great dinner, starting with perfect Negronis, great salt & pepper wings and tartar flambe. The Amish pressed chicken was amazing and the burger was fat, juicy and delicious. We loved the place and all I can say is...BILL'S IS BACK!!!Glenn & AkoHonolulu

Really, really wanted to like this place. GM greeted us when we were seated, very welcoming. Service was attentive, although unable to provide details regarding dishes other than what was already written in the menu. Wife’s glass of red had a huge chunk of cork. Torte flambé appetizer was very good, we were encouraged. But entrees (salmon for me, sirloin for her) were completely ordinary. Roasted root vegetable side might have been roasted technically, but weren’t actually cooked and if they were seasoned, it didn’t come through. If your menu is simple, which is all good by me, then execution better be top shelf. Hope it was an off night, because the people were very hospitable and the setting has great potential.

Came here for dinner for a Christmas party and and this place did not disappoint. This is a new spot and was surprised at how on point the food and service was. Appetizers were amazing and the steak was fantastic, can’t wait to go back to try the other menu items I saw other people eating near me.

These other reviews must be fake because this place sucked. No one at our table finished their dinners, they were that bad. It genuinely might have been the worst steak I’ve had in my life.Service was decent, but the vibes in the restaurant were way off.

Beyond mediocre. Burger was TINY, layout in the restaurant was odd and barely any seasonings

If you are hoping to find a slice of New York's history; Bill's is the place to be. With amazing staff, and a great owner; you are sure to enjoy your hospitality at the place. The food is great, the vibe is even better. Of course, a good selection of drinks and how they are served. With the owner's attention to detail, the service here is just great. I can proudly say that I enjoyed my time here.
