Inventive drinks and a small kitchen make this coffee shop stand out as a special place on Manhattan, especially in the Hell's Kitchen/Midtown areas where other coffee options can't even compare. Most coffee places around the city import their pastries from the same bakeries around their areas, Bird and Branch instead chooses to make many of their best menu items themselves. They bake their kouign amann in house, and they're well worth the calories. They make creative and wonderful small, brunchtime plates through most of the day, which are a wonderful snack during a work break, or summertime dates. They make their own nut milks, and mix teas and coffees in ways that are delicious, while also matching the quirky vibe of this delightful little coffee shop.

Kind of hesitant to share cos I don’t want this this gem to get too crowded. But it’s awesome.Cool décor with somewhat high end swag & coffee related stuff (but all nice) for sale. Small inside but more outdoor seats.Phenomenal drinks. We had a specialty drink called the robin and a cappuccino. Some of the best hot drinks I’ve had.Good service too and the option of non-disposable mugs for stay in.Yes… we will be back.

Very good coffee. The best I drunk in 2024 so far. The dishes was tasty but not big. One of the dish was too spicy without mentioning it in menu. There is almost no place to sit. We we forced to fight for a place and have seen couple more fights. I would recommend no laptop sign here. Maybe I chose wrong place for breakfast, but just for coffee it's perfect.

Stopped in here for a quick drink to takeaway. Service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend the signature drinks. Both drinks we tried were delicious. I would definitely want to stop in again when in the area. Convenient and better than average.

We got the blueberry, and the seasonal drink called the parakeet both tasted great. The biggest plus is that the drinks were served at exactly the right temperature to drink right away!

Big fan of the winter seasonal The Wren. They always balance salty/umami/bitter/sweet in their drinks. If you don't want something sickly sweet, try one of their specialty options. Standard coffee is also well done and thoughtfully prepared. If you get an Americano to stay, they provide a carafe of hot water with the glass of espresso.
