Everything we ordered was great! Started with the muhammara and cauliflower tahini, both of which I'd recommend (especially the cauliflower). Then we shared the Shish Tawook (pictured); every bite from chicken to veggies to rice was flavorful and delicious. Surprised this place doesn't have more reviews because it's now one of my favorite Mediterranean restaurants in the area

It was an enjoyable experience! The food was very solid though the service was very slow. The lightening is dim and the music quiet so makes it easy to hear companions. A great place for kosher and Jewish finds.

Came for lunch to celebrate a birthday. The service was very caring and friendly. The food was interesting and tasty. This is the third time we have come for a family event and it won't be the last.

Food is good (ie chicken kebab platter comes with rice & veggies, nice portion size). Appetizer dips way too small/ overpriced. Service is meh. Please stop asking if I want tap or bottled water, tap is fine! Beautiful space, but tables too tightly packed. And hostess was annoying, shouting 'no reservation, ok I'll put you at this table, but you have until 6:15'... She really said that to us. But fundamentally the food is quite good, hence 4/5 stars.

I wanted to give this place a genuine try despite not hearing great things.. I should have listened. The food was really basic. Nothing exciting and nothing stand out. The ambiance really carried the experience as they did a good job with decor. After a really meh experience the troubles began. My phone began to blow up with phone calls and texts from the restaurant saying I had paid the wrong check and they needed my cc over the phone. I did not feel comfortable doing that and they demanded I pay over the phone or else they would “not be able to close out for the night.” This was fully the restaurants mistake and they took 0 ownership. After various back and forth they finally agreed to allow the money to return on my cc before I paid a second bill for $300+. This was a fiasco and would not recommend for overpriced and basic food I could get better somewhere else.

Great Overall Experience! Highly recommend. We were recommended Bis by a friend and it did not disappoint.-The host ( forgot her name) was inviting and super personable.-The food is smaller portions but in a sense just right. Super flavorful and delicious. We cleaned up!-The decor/atmosphere is very stylish and works well for both a date or family gathering.

Very low key , beautiful and excellent restaurant in the mid of the upper east . Without fanfare and tons of PR just a fantastic place for dinner , quick bite . We took to share all of the dishes , besides the hummus which was good but not my kind of texture the rest were flavorable, fresh and authentic. The cauliflower, the grape leaves and the kabab kufte all were excellent obviously with fresh pita . Highly recommended!!!!! Definitely A destination mostly if you live around.

I ordered a delicious rib eye steak that was solid in size and tasted incredible. The ambiance was phenomenal as the tables and seating were placed intimately and the music was great. Lastly, the service was excellent as the manager greeted us right as we walked and it continued as someone continuously checked on us throughout the meal to assist us with any problems.

Beautiful minimalist space. Yummy aromas waft at you as you enter. Food is amazing-- recommend the hummus and cauliflower tahini. For mains, the rib eye was delicious served medium rare. Sadly, the chicken schnitzel was a disappointment. Tough and dry. Should've sent it back but my partner was starving. Service was attentive but strangely somewhat indifferent at the same time. I guess it was a busy night -- Motzi Shabbat. They could do with a pep talk. Still, the food and ambience are awesome, and for those I highly recommend Bis.

Great place for a nice fancy delicious dinner, without the fancy prices. Everyone was super nice and the place has a great vibe to catch up with an old friend. I’ll definitely be back!

Made reservation only to sit outside in the cold with no heat so left to eat elsewhere for a family birthday, what a shame. Be very careful when booking a table here.
