These bagels were very different compared to the other ones we had in New York. I would describe them as being thinner with a crispy/crunchy top. They weren't soft and doughy like the other bagels we had. There wasn't much seating inside, so mostly a grab and go place.

Burnt, terrible bagel that took way too long to be given to me. Ten people behind me in line got their bagel before me. The waiting area is way too crowded and their service / delivery model here just doesn’t make sense. There are better bagels at pretty much every single other bagel place in this area.
Don’t get me wrong the vibe is cool, the bagel wasn’t.

These are the dense yeasty kind of bagel that is filling and chewy. You know it's a legit bagel shop when the toppings cover top and bottom - giving that full fledged seasoned flavor on both sides of the bagel, and Black Seed delivers. Service was friendly and fast during my visit just before closing hours. It's mostly a to-go shop, but there's a little room to linger over a counter if you need to stay in to chow down.

black seed is such a vibe -- all of the employees at the nomad nyc location are super friendly and fashionable -- and the bagels were delish! definitely my go to spot for morning brekkie! ✨ Dietary restrictions: they have great gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, & dairy free options! the tofu cream cheese is delightful -- tastes the same as the real stuff without the tummy problems

I never thought I could find such a mediocre bagel in nyc until this place. I just got a simple bagel so maybe the sandwiches are a different story. It tasted more like bread than a bagel and was almost stale. Not super flavorful or chewy and a mid crust. It was also very small and flat for a bagel, reminded me more of a bialey. Would not recommend, so many other better places in ny and even nj for bagels.
